An $11 million total contract with a $14million CAP hit would be a helluva trick.

I didn't realize that Brown restructured for a 1-year deal. Still it would take our cap space down to $15 million or so. Maybe room for another cheap player but no Deshaun Watson or Russell Wilson, that's for sure...

If Andrews signs elsewhere, look for the Pats to use #15 on a center. I would rather use that to trade up for a QB, but Bill may not have another choice...Landon ****erson or Rashawn Slater are good possibilities
They'd sign Karras. I don't see them burning #15 on a center but who knows.

Has Karras elevated his game in the recent past? The Karras I remember is a very solid backup but not someone I would plug in at starter and call the position filled.

I dont fully agree with Lazar here. I dont think they are keeping money available right now for splash but instead to look as a more credible destination for a QB trade.

This way the jig is not up on whether they want to acquire a QB or maybe move up in the draft for one. Keep other GMs guessing.

Just stop, you don't really know what you are talking about and aren't helping.

No but he filled OK in in 2019. They need to draft for the future.

I think this is the answer in the draft..

does have a serious injury history, but played at both Florida State and Alabama, two schools the Pats have had sucess grabbing players from

Please no more players with Injury histories.

What you're saying sounds reasonable, but what would be the plan if we don't end up being able to trade for an expensive QB? Do we just roll over a bunch of space to cover the increased cap hits of these contracts a year from now? I don't even know the specifics about rollover rules. I suppose we could just use the space on a late-offseason acquisition at another position (would probably be a trade). We could also extend some players like JC Jackson. Just thinking out loud.

Ok, without extending anyone else and with about 15 million in cap space, how are the Pats going to fit Deshaun Watson under the cap? I'll wait...

There is no C worth that Pick. Even at late first we should be able to get the best C in the draft in Creed Humphrey. I like ****erson but he has a lot of injuries so idk. Meinerz is nice too but not first rd. I think if you want to take a shot at the best 3/4 C of the class you can take one in the second easily

2nd pick in the draft.....3rd?

Okay, but why are you singling me out and not the people who brought the topic into this thread in the first place, or the ones who have kept it going past my last post on it? Be consistent. Literally all of what you're saying applies to multiple others here, and you don't seem to care about them.

I never singled you out. You singled yourself out. If you want to chat further please send me a PM.
