......Please refrain from disrespecting Da Burkmeister on this forum (while in NE)...he is exempt from all forms of impudence.

That's the name I was trying to remember: Da Burkmeister is always getting Hurtmeister.

I agree that BB will play these guys with their current numbers if he can. However, the duplicate numbers in past pre-seasons have usually still been positionally correct according to NFL numbering rules. This year, BB is coloring waaay outside those lines. I'm not sure that will fly for pre-season games.

from Kyed:

They’re expected to receive real numbers before their Thursday night matchup against Washington. It would be surprising if the Patriots had quarterback Danny Etling wear No. 58 or wide receiver Braxton Berrios don No. 55 in a game. They would have to declare eligible for every offensive series.

also:

With Trey Flowers limited, second-year defensive end Derek Rivers received reps with the starters.

Expected by whom? Kyed? Sounds pretty much like a rehash of what maineman and I said in this thread, except a media guy said it.

EDIT: I found the article from which this came. It was just speculation.

Is Harvey Langi eligible for our PS?? That's probably his only hope now. The times I saw him before his injury last year: he was very one dimensional rushing the passer one straight ahead move. Even Tully Banta Cane had an alternate spin move.

I wonder who gets #19 Malcolm Mitchell's old number? I hope it's Berrios.

Harvey should sue the heck out of that driver who rear ended his car and possibly his NFL career. A sports career is far from a sure thing but missing the rookie season in the NFL as an UDFA is certainly a strong fact that a reasonable judge would weight in a case like this.

That number should just be retired tbh

I hear ya but the last two guys who wore that #19 helped us win SB's LaFell and Mitchell maybe there is something about that #19 lets not put it in Canton yet. If I'm Berrios I would call it.

Anyone worried about cannon or he likely will be there week 1?

We have Wynn - Waddle and Cole Croston. I wouldn't worry too much about the often Injuried Cannon. They might have to change his name to Marcus Cocoon.

He’s a good player though and makes our line much stronger when he’s healthy but the guy can’t stay healthy it seems.

If I’m AJ McCarron, I’m trying to dump that poor #17 on anyone, in an effort to switch.

I prefer either IRex or Brittle Burkhead.
