That makes 12 guys who the Pats waived this year who are on other teams' active rosters, 4 more on practice squads, and 2 more on other teams' IR (Lucien and DeAndrew White).

back to 2 QBs..

The New England Patriots officially released QB Taylor Heinicke and G Jason King from their practice squad on Monday and signed DB Alex Carter and G Cole Toner to the unit.

EDIT: I thought they might give Storm Norton a look..

__

btw - Jetes worked out Hamilton. Thought NE might bring him back but must wait 3 weeks longer then the rest due to inj. settlement rules.

Nice to see that Odighizuwa is on the Pats' radar now.

I would've kept the QB and ****-canned whatever a Jomal Wiltz is.

Norton was on my radar as an unpolished version of Solder. Plus his name is Storm, so he's pretty much awesome even if he can't play.

If Odighizuwa is healthy, he's instantly the 3rd best DE on the team (I'm still in love with his college tape; there's no denying he's been a bust so far). Intriguing.

I wonder whether the hip issues @manxman2601 was mentioning back in 2015 kept him from ever fully fulfilling his potential. If I remember correctly he was for a while in many of the mocks (obligatory @mayoclinic mention) back in the draft board but once Sheard got signed, Diggy (and Danielle Hunter) got dropped from the mocks.

Damn time passes.

Saints take Hamilton

A bit off topic but I am surprised that Carr is still on the 53 roster of the Saints. He has been active only once against Miami but played no snaps. I fully expected them to release him once Snead was back from suspension.

Carr obviously has some buzz around the league . like DJ Foster last yr. If you're interested in keeping him, developing him better keep him on 53. Plus he has a way to grow on people..

Sure - I mean at this point they really have to see something in him that they like. I am just surprised that with all the issues they have on defense they can afford the luxury of keeping someone on the 53 that doesnt even contribute to ST. But then again I am looking at all of that through a Belichickian lense.

Just underlined him on my PS watch list

Reilly returns

____

PS revolving door sure turn quickly this yr. (8 PS moves in this week alone) .
2 new guys today. And as always . hope not about Travis, D.Jones. Ferentz (sigh) and McCarron are safe (seen at practice). Hopefully Toner and Wiltz..

I was curious to see what Carter might be able to do, but overall the PS looks very good. I'm surprised more of the players haven't been claimed to another team's 53.
