Chandler Jones trade worked out great

A few more hurries in AZ than last year here but yes Chandler has pretty much been the same player there.

So strange he takes a cat nap after Thanksgiving.

I liked Chandler Jones but always felt like he showed up at times and disappeared just as much. Thuney and Mitchell are both looking like long time contributors, so I'm happy with this trade.

Thuney + Mitchell for 1 year remaining of Jones? I'll take it! It's a good thing we have excellent drafting or that trade could have gone badly for us. Cooper was a reclamation project and still turned out to be a bust, so I don't really factor him into the trade.

You have to credit BB. He finds ways to compete, and he almost always comes out ahead in trades.

And as usual Chandler Jones has gone missing after Thanksgiving.

Yup - As painful as it sounds, I had to watch last years AFCCG three times in an attempt to prove he played. I'm still not sure and I'm leaning towards him being a healthy scratch. I'll watch it a forth time to see if I can fully confirm. I'll use binoculars this time.

Not really, Chandler was traded for the whole season (and offseason to prepare), Collins was traded for half a season and just thrown into the mix, no offseason to learn the defense. The issue with that for me wasn't what he was worth but whether we would be better off keeping him for the season given that was his worth.

It's kinda crazy...because you'd that if Collins truly was that much of a locker-room cancer, that Belichick would've sent him packing along with Chandler Jones during the offseason, and gotten much more in return.

My guess is....the team really wanted to make things work.

What a shame. Collins could've made big contributions had he put the team ahead of his own needs

I guess he has a food hangover from eating so much turkey :p

Defense didn't lose the game for us last year. Our crappy offense did. The fact that nobody could block.

One might argue Jamie Collins handed the Donkeys 14 points. But either way, This thread isn't about the offensive line.

I wasn't a huge Chandler guy he disappeared in the playoffs and was seemingly very inconsistent. I really thought Collins was going to be apart of the Patriots future.

The defense is playing its best football of the season, you could argue that the ravens are inconsistent with Flacco throwing 17 TDs and 13 Ints but it was still impressive. So as of now it looks like BB made the right move.

I am actually shocked the Ravens had the stats they had in the game.

He's starting for the Browns right now. Too bad with his injury. I would have liked to see what he could have done. Then it became a numbers game when we cut him I take it.

Only getting a 3rd round compensatory from the Browns for Collins is the real head-scratcher?!?

I thought so too, but when you actually watch him play instead of listening to the mediots...

The Browns will probably still get a 3rd-round comp pick for him if they don't re-sign him, but based on what he's done since going to Cleveland, I wouldn't be surprised if we ended up cutting him outright if we hadn't traded him.

There were others here who said the same. Also plenty who whined about it
Could we not do this? I liked the trade, but if there were others who didn't, maybe they just had a differnet opinion as opposed to whining about it.

Long is as spectacular as ninkovich,

Think we may be devaluing the word spectacular a bit there.

should have realized they were on the wrong side of the deal when Belichick came knocking.
Hopefully not...I like the idea that the perception of this trade was good for both sides, as the idea that Belichick always wins trades makes it harder for future trades. Sure that happens already.

I thought so too, but when you actually watch him play instead of listening to the mediots...

Wow, that was truly an abysmal effort.

Is there an echo in here?
