Benjamin Walter made Top Performers! From the bench! That's great. Almost as great as no drops and no fumbles lost!

P.S. are those 1 pointers from your custom equipment? If so I would assume it is because you have to put an actual point in the preceding skill, not an equipment point.

They are, so that makes sense now - the tree builds from the left and no equipment points allowed.

The fumble in the last game came when I had power running turned on. Until that point, though, I had no fumbles. So I think I'll keep running style on combo for a while and wait before throwing points into "cover up". It might not be necessary for my build right now.

Thanks!

Also props to Think Tank who had a HUGE game on the line.

Think Tank had some HUGE stops but...man

Gotta give it up for Barkley who gives us awesome yardage on returns, deflections a plenty including those three awesome ones in a row to end the game and oh yeah, he was even in on offense.

Goddamn, Barkley is amazing.

Great win guys. Just in case you're curious for tactics I:
  • Set it up so that ROT, LOLB and TE should have shared snaps down the middle, curious to see if it ended up that way.
  • Turned off all short passes and passes to the FB and RB. I knew it would lead to a few sacks but I'd rather 2-3 sacks than 7 0 yard passes.
  • Set us for 0% on blitzes. I'm a man of extremes.
  • 50/50 Run pass percentage.
  • 100% rushing up the middle.

Interesting there were still passes to the backs but only a couple not as high as we normally see.

Still we beat a really good team and the offense even helped some. I just wish my guy hadn't fumbled.

Great game all, thanks to the people who boosted.

Yeah I just totaled up all of Barkley's stats and nominated him for the stupid Pro Bowl thing they have going. If anyone deserves it, he does.

Pooey. I didn't get a single stat.

Oh well. Good win! Let's keep it going!

i feel obliged to give some props to my two guys...

college cason (CB) led the team with 8 tackles, and also had 2 passes defenesed

brandon weather (SS) had 4 tackles, 2 passes defensed, but also had a late INT that used up more then 7.5 minutes to seal the win for us

good job to them and to the team, they fought hard, and pulled out a great win

hopefully we keep the same storyline next two games

Also props to Think Tank who had a HUGE game on the line.

Definitely killed a drive or two when he stopped their runs on third and short. I'm just glad he was able to help- with the quality of their interior OL, I was expecting that Pio and I would be held in check pretty well.

This was my favorite, though. 3rd and 2 and he takes out 2 blockers to stop him short for a 1 yard gain.

In watching these replays, it looks like Red Sneed was only subbed in at DT. The CPU player was making it in as a sub in the DE positions. Can we switch that? I've built my guy as more of a pass rush specialist.

Holy cow, someone beat us. Please post in your forum:

Congrats to you and your squad. It was more of a one sided-affair than I would have liked, but you deserve kudos for knocking off the top dog.

Maybe we'll see each other in the playoffs.

Translation: We didn't think you had a chance in hell and we don't think you can do it again. Can't wait to beat your a-ss in the playoffs.

Whatever, jerk!

Question guys, how do you get the video playback where you see the little circles moving that represent your players? I can only find the text play by play of the game.

Next to each play in the text play by play for a particular game, there is a replay link. Click that link to see the graphical replay for that play. From there you can click next replay and previous replay to click through the whole game.

For example, from this link

http://goallineblitz.com/game/game.pl?game_id=14598&mode=pbp

You can click this link for the first play

And so on.

Thanks. Now what's the gameplan to beat these aussies coming up? Can we go deep a few times on them? We might be able to break the game open early.

90, 15, 22, 8, 66, 17, 61, 1, 52, 20, 32, 5, 32, 28

That's the number of yards for the leading rusher of each opponent. I was just looking through, and realized that not only have we still not surrendered 100 yards to a rusher, the only time we surrendered even 70 was on the first game of the year (our only loss). Plus, we've held the leading rusher to 5 or less twice, and under 20 4 times. Pretty crazy.

A couple observations:

Canberra has no major weaknesses.

With most of the other teams that we've played against, they've had at least one major weakess. Even the Bandits were starting levels 13 and under at FB and both OLBs. Canberra really doesn't have a glaring weakness. Every starter is at least a 14, and most are higher. That said, we do have notable advantages in a lot of areas, and if we can leverage our advantavges well, I think we'll win.

Their WR are good, but our CBs are better.

Vernon, Pietro, and Cason have shut down better WRs than their pair of 15s. Also, they're going with a level 14 QB, and Tobias has the attributes to basically be another CB on the field in terms of range, who just happens to put three or four guys per game in the hospital as well.

Their defensive line may be a vulnerability

Don't get me wrong, two 14s and two 15s isn't a bad starting DL, but it's the closest thing that they have to a real liability. Bodes well for Maroney having his standard dominating performance.

Their OL will be slightly overmatched

They have four 15s and a 16 on the DL. Once again, not bad. But our DL is starting all 16s. But the difference will hopefully be greater than that. Our DL has been playing above its level all season, putting up some very good performances against OLs that were the same or higher level than they were. With Pio up to 16 now, though, I see us having the potential to dominate the line of scrimimagfe defensively against a lot of our opponents.

Our QB/Receivers are better than their secondary

Long passes here and there might be really effective in this game. Their CBs are 14 and 15, and their safeties are 15 and 16. Steamer, Welker, and Walsh will hopefully be too much talent/depth for them to handle.

Oh, can you take me off STs for this game? I respecced my STA equipment into AGI to finish out the season.

I liked how fast I moved on STs, but I dont think the benefit to the team was worth me losing that much energy. Pietro is a nasty gunner anyway.

yup, ST takes a LOT of stamina...ask cason and weather, there in the 60's usually after every game...with crazy stamina already

question, anyone know the difference of XP recieved between training on relaxed, medium, and hard? (if tehre is a difference?)
