This past weekend, the Boston Red Sox took on their longtime baseball rival the New York Yankees at Fenway Park.

As part of the pregame festivities, the Red Sox invited a few members of the 2021 New England Patriots to throw out honorary “first pitches” before two of the four games in the series.

On Thursday night, linebacker Kyle Van Noy returned to Fenway for the first time since resigning with the Patriots this offseason while wide receiver Kendrick Bourne made his first appearance at the historic ballpark.

Check out some sights and sounds from their appearance below.

Then on Sunday afternoon, punter Jake Bailey threw out his own first pitch.

All in all, it was a successful weekend for the Red Sox, who won three of four against New York, and the Patriots, who were treated to an entertaining series to wrap up their summer before its back to work later this week when training camp opens.

As an added bonus, even Julian Edelman attended one of the games with his girlfriend.

The brotherhood that is Boston and its local sports teams continues into 2021.
