Texans Potentially a Trade Partner with Patriots For Boutte?

we already discussed that when you post your meme's, you are admitting you are wrong, without admitting it.
I will take that

And I respect those who are keen to trade him, but I’ve yet to see a compelling reason why we should.
We will keep 6, so that means you think having Chism as one of the 6 is better schematically than having Boutte.
I do not.
We disagree, and there’s nothing wrong with that.

As far as I can tell, Chism is our 2nd string slot. I don't know how much Doubs or AJB will be used in that role. I'm not choosing Chiz over Booty. Booty is one of 5 X receivers. They play different positions.

Sure, unless they get a 2nd or 3rd round pick trading Boutte it’s not the right thing to do. #fleeced

You’ve never had a realistic notion about what trade compensation actually looks like.

why did you leave out the part where I have said repeatedly, trading a WR for a player will be perfectly fine.
lets also not rule out trading Pop or Hollins at the moment
everyone is in play if it improves the team (assuming not Maye or Campbell)

How often do you see player for player trades in the NFL? If they trade him I imagine it will be for a draft pick. Im still thinking 5th, hoping for 4th. Would be surprised if it is for either a player or a third or better, but that would be great. Every single time there has been a patriot trade coming down the pike, the homers have always said, it will be for multiple firsts, then when it is a second it is Bill's fault or Wolf's fault or whomever. Never that we over valued our player.

I have always had Bill at the top of the heap when it comes to trades, value, improving the team. no one did it better than Bill, ever.
he was fleeced in the JimmyG trade, but that was him being spiteful more than putting the team first

John Lynch has even said he was prepared to give up more, but I don't think he meant a 1st round pick. I'm thinking an additional 3rd or 4th round pick. BB was pissed Kraft demanded him to trade Jimmy G.

The Matt Cassel trade was pretty underwhelming. He had two teams bidding on him (Denver & KC).

BB was fleeced badly by the Cardinals with the Chandler Jones trade. He was an ascending Pro Bowl player, but they get a measly 2nd round pick and mega bust Jonathon Cooper for him. Jones went on to the an All-Pro player and runner up for DPOY.

Then you have the awful Sanu trade where BB negotiated against himself. He had no idea the 49ers wanted nothing to do with him after the Falcons asked for a 2nd round pick. Absolutely terrible trade.

I rest my case.

why did Bill only speak with 1 team?

Chandler came with some off the field baggage. he was also going into his free agency year, which made trading for him a gamble. Cooper was a top 10 pick, but he simply couldn't play in the league

Did Bill make the Sanu trade or did Tom?

*checks*...Bill Belichick was fired in January, 2024.

What are we talking about him in a 'Boutte/Trade' thread for?
