PATRIOTS TRAINING CAMP 2026 Patriots Training Camp - Day 12

Terrible take.
You have no idea where we are picking in 2028.
You have no idea if that pick would be a hit or miss, which will most likely be in the bottom third of the first rd.
Stay negative Sam.
Sure I do. No one in the first round.
The difference is that you miss 100% of the picks you don't make.

l

Sunk cost fallacy.

If you bought a stock that was a bad investment would you keep it just because it was a bad investment?
Smart teams dont piss away resources like that.

Furthermore, this contract prompted Boutte to ask to be traded.

And we will be revisiting this if Boutte has a better season than Doubs. Pats will have no choice but to let him walk.

Water over the dam.

Don’t drive with your eyes locked on the rear view mirror.

We need to move forward not mire ourselves in past mistakes.

I dont believe that Boutte and the Pats can coexist in 2026.

If Boutte outplays Doubs, I believe that he will want more money now. Odds of Boutte breaking out this season are high, so why sign Doubs? Why not just wait for homegrown talent Boutte to produce?

Its puzzling. There must be much more to this than we are aware of.

The Pats are smack dab in it.

There is no looking forward if this move does not work.

Boutte is aware he is not getting more money this year. He is playing for next years contract.

What you aren’t aware of is we use 3 WRs in our base offense so we need all 3

Nah, AJ Brown balls out and nobody cares who plays second fiddle or what happened or happens with Doubs and Boutte.

Boutte gets traded barring injury.

I wouldn’t be so sure, which has always been my stance.
He may very well be traded, but I prefer to field the best team in 2026, and that undoubtedly includes Boutte.

If Pats had resigned Diggs and not made the Brown trade, they woukd still have the 28 first rounder and 27 5th rounder.
The difference between AJ Brown and Stefon Diggs is in now way equal to the first rounder they gave up.
AJ Brown trade was a panic desperation move that they will regret in April 2028.
Still talking crap Sam?....Took you a long time to come up with your latest bit of genius. Is this the best you can do?

BB was big with keeping guys till the end who produced that were on their 1st contract. Maybe Vrabs is the same.

Think about it logically . What makes our 2026 better (a year in which we have legit SB hopes)?
Trading Boutte for a 5th?
Or keeping him for one more year?

That's because you can't envision Williams or DeGennaro being as good or better, which they very well could be.

That's just a lack of imagination.

We'll see...

I think the same when you talk about Boutte. Somehow the coaches know more then you.
