That argument is verbatim from Belichick defenders who were giving Mac Jones 100% of the blame for 47-17. It was silly then and it's silly now.

That was different because NE didn’t stop Buffalo at all that game. Ever.

That’s how I know history is repeating itself.

There has only been 2 teams in the history of the NFL to have an easier road to the Super Bowl than the Pats have had (and that doesn’t count the injuries which put Pats at likely the easiest road ever).

One of those was the 91 Bills. They got blown out. Pats will too.

1991 has absolutely nothing to do with this years playoffs. And as usual you dodged the question. Have you never seen your team play in a Super Bowl?

The other is the 1999 Rams. Unlike the 2025 Patriots they beat zero winning teams until their last game. How did their season turn out?

I agree and it's a silly argument because professional football players don't "give up".

Of course they do. Happens all the time.

Lamar gives up mid-season sometimes lol.

Rams got to face an under-matched Titans team that should never have been in that Super Bowl if it wasn’t for the NFL screwing the Bills.

4 of them. All losses. The first one is the only one we should have won. The other 3 we were overmatched by better NFC teams.

It was close and looked tricky to judge on TV but that was a legit lateral. The ball is what matters not where the QB is standing and it did travel like a lateral. You'll see it in clips.

The Bills screwed themselves by picking Rob Johnson over Flutie for that one.

Agreed with your last statement. Disagree with the prior.

So if your bio is correct you were 3-6 years old during the Bills 4 straight superbowl losses?
Ya, I’m sure you were glued to the tv.

Pats only had 14 points before the Texans Defense gave up.

I think you are struggling to understand football.

The Bills had more offensive production for a couple of key reasons:
1. Their game was in a dome in perfect conditions, vs. being in a snow storm in the cold
2. The Bills were playing FROM BEHIND for much of the game, so the Texans were more prone to allowing a 1st down here and there as long as they weren't allowing scores

You keep highlighting "more yards", "more first downs" but what the heck does that matter? Of course a team that was losing most of the game is more likely to pile up some stats while trying to come back. They still lost.

You also keep highlighting "more punts", but...

How Pats' drives ended:
TD x3, Punt x8, Fumble x2, INT x1, End of Game x1

How Bills' drives ended:
TD x2, FG x2, Punt x3, Turnover on Downs x1, Fumble x1, INT x2, End of Half x1

So sure, the Pats had "more punts" but the Pats also ended their drives with TDs more often (3 vs 2), and ended their drives with turnovers less often (3 vs 4). The Pats were more keen to punt and play field position holding a lead in a snow game, whereas the Bills needed to push for yards and points because they were losing for the majority of the game. So continuing to say "the Pats had less yards and more punts!!!" just demonstrates that you don't really understand football.

McNair releasing the pass. Don't look at him look at where the ball is almost right out to the 26 yard line.
Edit: Wycheck not McNair

Just before Dyson catches it it's already closer to the 25 than when Wycheck released it.

Here's the catch. Clearly closer to the line now. The ball is the only thing that matters not where anyone is standing.

Unfortunately that's 100% a legit lateral. It did look forward in realtime at a different camera angle but looking at these pics with the sideline view it's a different story.

The fact is, the Pats DID get there. If your team is incapable of getting there, you can’t really throw judgment, full stop. The Pats have gotten there 11 times in the past 30 years. The Bills have gotten there 0 times in the past 30 years. I don’t really wanna hear from Bills fans about how the Pats “just got lucky”.
Agreed.

When your opponent just has 13 seconds to tie a game, you win that in 99.99% of times.

You had the luck too. You chose to throw it away. In misguided bills fan dictionary it's called as bad luck , every other fan would call it incompetence and that is what got your winningest coach fired.

There were chances where our opponents could have pulled the dagger to us. Our defense came tops on those. Those are differences between winners and losers.

Winners seize the moments , losers call it bad luck . Future winners try to see where the gaps are and try to improve upon mistakes. Now you bills fans would need to decide how you want to look at it.

If you want to talk about luck , for last 7 seasons you had an extremely easy path to playoffs with pats in disarray, jets perennial basement guyz and Miami an iffy team. What did you do with all those 7 years. You ended up losing in playoffs always. You need to make your luck and for that you need a team game. Sadly you don't have it and you feel that having a star QB alone is sufficient. No it isn't .

Mahomes won when he had all star crew and cast. After that it became really difficult. Focus on your drafts and defensive identity before coming to spew venom on pats.

We are not perfect. But we are going to the bowl. So either you can choose to be an adult and wish us luck or I'll luck for finals or continue on with your monologue trying to justify your position in a pats forum where majority are pats fans who are basking in 12th super bowl appearance happiness.

I believe @GreenCow you are a better poster than what you have shown here. Just reflect as an adult. What are you trying to achieve here.

You have an excuse for literally everything. I guess that always losing does that to some people.

The Music City Miracle was absolutely a backwards pass. It was on a kickoff return, not a play from scrimmage (that wasn’t McNair) but it was backwards.

The position of their bodies makes one think it wasn’t backwards but the only thing that matters is the ball and, as shown above, the ball went backwards.

People get caught up on if it's "forwards" or "backwards" but it's called a "lateral" for a reason - if the ball is literally straight down the yard line it's a "lateral", as in it is lateral to the yard line. Therefore legal.

He is a lot better. Visit the Texans forum or just put on the tape. Stroud is a disaster. Mills is a game manager only but that allows his defense to win the game. Stroud turns the ball over so much even that historic defense can’t win.

Plus they were missing Nico Collins, their #1 WR.

The Patriots have played against teams with their hands tied behind their back. Easiest path to the Super Bowl in NFL history. And 3rd easiest schedule for a team to reach the Super Bowl in NFL history.
I remember in the run up to the 21 draft, there was talk of the PAts wanting to wait to draft Mills, as he went in the 3rd round due to limited college experience (11 starts IIRC). Once Mac Jones was drafted that became a nonstarter.

Hate to say it, but that one was self-inflicted. Why they went away from Flutie is something I'll never understand, and I found the outcome fitting. I'd like to think you'd be more angry about that than anything having to do with the league. The league didn't make them start Rob Johnson, and that decision cost you guys a huge opportunity, especially given how well that team had been playing down the stretch.
