Good for Boutte, what a great heartfelt story... many of these players are extremely likeable.

The only gambling I engage in now is playing Powerball..
In the past played a lot slots and always had difficulty walking away when ahead when done losing would utter angrily to myself never again, fortunately that attraction has passed....
Always remind myself that theses casino's couldn't be built if they lost $$$

I lived in Louisiana for awhile after hurricane Katrina and one of my many jobs was working in the bayou taking soil samples for the earthen levees to see how structurally sound they were.

Look up golden meadow, LA. Just past La Rose where Ed reeds from. Once you get out of town you feel like your floating sometimes when you're driving cause the marshes are RIGHT there. The ocean is right there. Like the Midwest with wheat fields when your on a straight road driving in the middle of nowhere.

New iberia is to the west of where I worked but it really feels like an alien world sometimes down that south. If you've seen the 1st season of true detective then that's just starting to get into bayou area but even then there's too much land

He should. Gives a David givens type presence for Drake. 3yr/24 Million would be a nice deal for him...
Really hope he likes Drake... Drake Maye Maye.

Not gonna lie Twin: that contract looks a little paltry in Todays market.

I know twin..but for a late round pick.. Boutte has been great with Drake.. but we must understand it's not like he's a 1,000 yard wr.. that's a decent contract for him...

His current deal twin...

3yr/24 million is a come up for him...

Good story. They would be wise to lock him up for another 4 years as soon as possible.

I actually think 3/24 M is a pretty good number. Looking at WR salaries, the guys making more than the money given to 1rnd draft picks (8-8.8 M per) are a pretty small group. Almost all true #1 WR.

I like Boutte a ton, but he’s not quite there. I’d go a bit higher and offer 3/27

I would say a little under 35Mill gets it done. But I would still Draft a WR with #1 Upside in the upcoming Draft.

Just to think.. in 2008 Randy got 27 million for 3 years... if Randy played in this generation he'd get a 200 million dolla contract.... 3 for 24 with a huge up front bonus.. Vrabel loves to take care of guys and I think it's safe to said Boutte is one of his guys..

This was a good read and I give Kayshon props for sharing a struggle that he will deal with for the rest of his life. I thought at the beginning of this year that he would slide into the background and be cut during camp. But I was wrong, he has showed up and showed out. He will never be WR#1 but he is a solid guy to have in any wide receiver room and he makes some bigtime plays when you need them. I like who is as a person and player but more importantly Drake likes him. Lets lock him up as soon as we can because he has a future here.

Because we gave him that NFL shot by Drafting him: it sounds like Boutte will give us that NFL discount extension.
