Candidly? If the Pats can’t beat Miami right now, I have serious reservations that they are on the right track.

Not because I expect them to be even average, but because Miami is teetering on the”dumpster fire “ and even bad teams should beat a team like that.
Miami sees us as a "get right game", and they have the added confidence of whooping our asses twice a year for the past few.

Each game is unique and I'm sure Miami will be better than last week.

A loss would suck, but I won't jump to major conclusions if we lose playing well. Now if we come out and just **** the bed, well...that's a different story.

This kind of seems like the raiders last week. I don't think the Raiders are necessarily good but they're better than us especially week 1 given Geno's experience.

I wanted to believe we've done enough to be better than LVR and I still think we can be but we have a lot of improving to do.

So onto Mia similar to LVR I want to believe that we are better than them. And I do believe Mia is on the decline. Are they the complete dumpster fire that last week looked like and some of their TC reports sounded or are they still ahead of us?

As others have said they are definitely looking at us as a get right game so I think we'll know for sure next week if Mia is on fire or not. Hopefully a perfect spot for us to get some vengeance on them, expose them, and get us pointed in the right direction. LFG!

This game will tell us so much about where this team is headed this year.

Without Gonzo NE doesn’t have the speed to match up with Miamis skill players. Besides Marcus Jones the rest of the secondary is a bad matchup.

If we cannot win without Gonzo against arguably the worst team in the nfl, then this will be a very long season.

I would say that if we lose, we likely know much more about our season than we do today.

If we win, then the season is much more TBD.
============
The way I view it is that we are about the 22nd or so best team. Not beating MIA would put us near the bottom. Beating MIA would keep us about the same.

Las Vegas moved the ball up and down the field, and scored 20 points. A team needs to be able to win when they hold the opp to 20. I think the Dolphins are likely gonna score about that same number, and our offense needs to get its head out of its ass and score in the high 20s.

Could be wet out there in Miami on Sunday. Hot but I've seen worse.

The high is usually around 4 pm there. It should be around 80 when the same starts.

The second half adjustments were poor on both sides. The offense won TOP in the first despite not having the ball first.

I do think the defense was as much to blame in the second half.

You know what you should do when you have a top 5 defensive front? Drop both your d tackles into coverage on 3rd & 11. At least that's what I learned against the Raiders.
Yup. That was ridiculous. But, it was one of a new DCs first snaps in charge so I'm willing to give him a break in the hope we don't see something similar. We didn't pay Milton Williams the big bucks to be a defensive back.

Reporters are tracking a lot of stacked boxes in various games early this season.

Defenses are daring QBs to throw -- seems to be a relative disrespect on the ability of QBs and WRs to connect, for whatever reason.

Keep this up!

I think that is going to be key against the Dolphins. Get Tua sped up and off his spot and he makes stupid decisions. The years he has been successful, he was able to have a clean pocket and make quick decisions. When he gets pressured, he turtles.

Agree

The defense would have been on the field less if the offense stayed with running the ball.
