The defense played well enough to win the game against the Raiders. The offense was the greatest concern. Penalties killed drives and were the result of too much messing around at the line of scrimmage. Josh should have called (or Drake should executed more) quick hitter plays like the final minute of the game when Drake Maye picked up a bunch of yards passing.

The running game got stymied by the Raiders and is a credit to their defense. A closer look at why they ran short yardage plays behind the rookie linemen is needed. The backs never had the kind of holes they need to really excel. Maybe that gets better over time.
Yep if you hold a team to 20 you should be winning most of those games, you aren't going to win many games scoring 13 points

Easy eyeball test: Compare the amount of time the respective QB's had in the pocket.

Didn't Biscuit finish his one win game??
I didn't count that, i only counted the games he threw 10 or more passes not the ones he left early.

The one win was the Bears game.

It means you're inventing stats to make a comparison that doesn't mean anything, Peyton Manning had one bad year outside of his rookie season which was his 4th season but he was also a top 5 QB in the league basically every other year in his career.

You can make this argument for every QB who has come into the league and lost a bunch of games that Peyton was bad as a rookie but he was also was 23-9 as a starter in years 2/3 between his bad rookie year and his bad 4th year so they already knew they had a guy who can win games.

Drake has currently won 1 game and has no credit in the bank.
Im not making anything up. here are manings stats for the first five years. read up and weep Stop trying to make excuses

Next game:

- Less Stevenson, more Henderson and Gibson.
- More Kyle Williams, less of Hollins. Pop’s seat getting warmer if he keeps underperforming.

Well this was a harsh dose of reality. I was so high on this teams potential, thinking 10/11 wins.
Now, we may be more like 6, unless things change quick.

Most of that is on Maye to suddenly become a 95% accurate passer. Right now he's at like 65% accuracy.

Yeah pretty clear he sucked in 1998 and 2001.

Where's the third year?

I dunno look at the scores around the league today, lots of teams win or lose are probably wondering if they got their hopes up. League looked like week 3 preseason

But but... barefoot Mack is our Biggest WR: plays very small too.

so you thin 26 tds vs 23 ints is a good year.(2001) time for you to run along..... Besides i only needed one year to prove my point

I just said 1998 and 2001 were the two bad years, you said he had three.

Reading not your strong point clearly, now you run along and go and compare Drake to another HOF QB with bad logic.

Well the most interesting news of the day was D. Maye with 16 games to go, has already tied J. Baker’s entire 2024 season in receptions……

As a Will Cambell homer, I want to say one thing. On the sack by Malcolm Koonce who was being blocked by Campbell, and which Adam Archuleta blamed Will Campbell, I think that was wholly unfair. Campbell had Koonce blocked perfectly. The pressure came from the other side and Maye effectively ran into the sack.

Maye is not showing that Killer instinct as a player. We haven't seen that since Brady: if we are picking Top 10 in 2026 we have a QB problem again.

Felt like an offense that was still thinking to much. Probably should have played the ones a little more in preseason given new coaches and new offense.

I thought we had good pass rush and they didn't really run on us but it still felt like the controlled the line when they were on offense and they definitely controlled it when we were.

Maye kind of sucked. I don't think he gets through his reads well. Seemed like he missed Diggs open a few times and even when he runs he still seems a little hesitant to do it he's supposed to be faster and he just seemed slow.

I thought the oline would be better run blocking than pass blocking but I the opposite was true. I don't think they sucked but I don't think they were good either. Just meh.

Boutte was the best thing we had today. Henderson was OK. Pop was surprisingly not as involved as I expected. I guess our WRs still suck.

I think you have him mixed up with Woodson on one of them. But if he’s getting burned in coverage all day (the 1st TD was pathetic) I don’t think a safety makes up for that by blitzing.
Never a big Hawkins fan.
