If we lost to the Bills and kept the Ist pick. Would Jerod still be HC?

Is a 3-win coach better than a 4-win coach?

I think his fate was decided with the disasters preceding the final game. I do think the victory in the final game caused the firing to happen immediately that night.

Absolutely not. Mayo knew he was going to be fired before the game.

Don’t think he knew because he was quoted saying that he planned on taking a retreat after the season to do a deep dive.

I think the decision was made after we lost to the Cardinals in Glendale….

If Thunder made the HOF Mayo would still be the Pats HC.

Jerod was getting fired either way. There was too much fire between the media and fanbase wanting him gone. Bob doesn't like looking bad, so he needed a scapegoat.

He knew he was getting fired, which was why he did what he did week 18 against the Bills being so aggressive while the Bills where just trying to get the game over with. Jerod, once again, put himself in front of the team and wanted to win to screw over the Kraft's. While Tom Brady didn't comment directly on the Pats week 18 win, he did say those kinds of wins don't do anything for the next season. There is no such thing as "building for next season".

He's a piece of chit.

Bill Belichick......................................

Jerod Mayo.......................................

He was gone win or lose.

Kraft, sitting in the his office, waiting for Mayo...

No.

I have nothing to add to what others have posted.

He'd be gone and Hunter would most definitely be ours. Damn you McDermott.

If you believe reports. Kraft knew he was going to make a change in November
That letter that came out real quick was typed up days/weeks before Mayo was fired
Everything about Mayo was failure.
No connections, no coaching experience. No coaching tree, Players walking all over him. No coaching adjustments or game plans etc
He could not get coaches or players to want to play for him. Some players were starting to rebel (White)
Kraft couldn't hand him his firing papers quick enough

As I said a few times in June, he was a dead man walking after the pathetic FA/draft period. He was never given the tools. So he gets fired either way....

Mayo would Never be a FA lure. Better a year early than year too late.
