As the Patriots work with the Lions in joint practices out in Detroit, surprise receiver Jakobi Meyers continues to make a case for himself. Here’s a full rundown of what’s been written about him as he continues fighting for a spot in the offense.

“After flashing a little in minicamps, Meyers continued to take another step with a handful of standout catches. Not the biggest of guys (though 6-1 1/2 and 203 pounds isn’t small, he just doesn’t play that big), but he has great body control and has Velcro hands.” – Greg Bedard, Boston Sports Journal – 7/25/19

“Undrafted rookie wide outs Ryan Davis and Jakobi Meyers each made some nice grabs in team drills.” – Ryan Hannable, WEEI.com – 7/25/19

“Jakobi Myers, an undrafted rookie out of N.C. State, made a terrific diving catch on a pass from Stidham late in practice. Myers laid out for the pass and made a finger-tip grab while holding on as he hit the ground.” – Paul Perillo, Patriots.com – 7/26/19

“Others to catch the eye Friday: rookie WR Jacobi Meyers out of NC State, receiver Damien Harris and defensive back Obi Melifonwu.” – Dan Roche, CBS Boston – 7/26/19

“Meyers continues to catch our eye on a daily basis with either a good play or a sign that the coaching staff appreciates what he’s doing. ” – Phil Perry, NBC Sports Boston – 7/27/19

“Jakobi Meyers may be a guy keep an eye on as an undrafted rookie at the thin receiver position, but he was late to arrive to the huddle for third-team reps with Jarrett Stidham during team action. Not a good way to get noticed.” – Andy Hart, WEEI – 7/28/19

“Jakobi Meyers is having a pretty impressive camp along with Maurice Harris. While he isn’t getting the reps that Harris is, whenever he’s being called, he is producing. He used his height to outleap Keion Crosson and brought down a pass from Stidham. I’d put him over Berrios…right now.” – Steve Balestrieri, PatsFans.com – 7/31/19

“Undrafted rookie wide receiver Jakobi Meyers also made a standout play in 11-on-11s, climbing the ladder to go up and catch a pass from rookie quarterback Jarrett Stidham over cornerback Keion Crossen.” – Doug Kyed, NESN – 7/31/19

“Undrafted rookie WR Jakobi Meyers made a great leaping grab over Keion Crossen on a throw from Jarrett Stidham. Meyers looks like he’s gaining traction. ” – Matt Dolloff, 98.5 The Sports Hub – 7/31/19

“Undrafted rookie wide receiver Jakobi Meyers seems to be ascending up the depth chart. He received extensive first-team work Thursday. He snagged a ball out of the air on a throw from quarterback Tom Brady over cornerback Jason McCourty. He also made an impressive grab over Patrick Chung and Keion Crossen on a high throw by rookie quarterback Jarrett Stidham. Meyers jumped up to knock the ball to himself in the end zone.” – Doug Kyed, NESN – 8/01/19

“Patriots cornerbacks won 10 of 19 1-on-1 drills over wide receivers. Meyers was the best wide receiver in the drill. Braxton Berrios also flashed with two catches. Undrafted rookie cornerback D’Angelo Ross had two pass breakups. Second-year corners JC Jackson, Duke Dawson and Keion Crossen each had one pass breakup.” – Doug Kyed, NESN– 8/01/19

“Undrafted receiver Jakobi Meyers is running with the first-team offense. That’s a testament to his outstanding and consistent performances so far in training camp. He made the best play of the day: He jumped between safety Patrick Chung and cornerback Keion Crossen, tipped the ball to himself with one hand and made the catch for a long touchdown pass from Jarrett Stidham.” – Henry McKenna, USA TODAY – 8/01/19

“The undrafted receiver out of North Carolina State was the Patriots best pass catcher on Thursday. Meyers made multiple highlight reel catches, which were eye opening. It was also very noteworthy that the rookie was mainly doing this with Tom Brady on the field.” – Mark Daniels, Providence Journal – 8/01/19

“Meyers was running with Brady’s offensive group as soon as practice started and was quick to make an impact. During 1-on-1s, Meyers went 2-0 against Jason McCourty and J.C. Jackson. In full-team drills, he caught four passes, including three from Brady, to lead all receivers. ” – Mark Daniels, Providence Journal – 8/01/19

“Undrafted rookie WR Jakobi Meyers stood out in competitive drills. He made a leaping catch over CB Jason McCourty on a deep ball from Brady, and later made the play of the day when he jumped and tipped the ball to himself for a touchdown.” – Matt Dolloff, 98.5 The Sports Hub – 8/01/19

“Meyers had maybe the most competitive rep of the day against CB J.C. Jackson. The corner pressed him hard out of his break, but Meyers was able to fight his way free and hold on to the ball with a diving catch.” – Matt Dolloff, 98.5 The Sports Hub – 8/01/19

“Along with Harry, undrafted rookie Jakobi Meyers made a few flashy plays of his own. Meyers has arguably had a stronger camp than Harry, and shows no signs of slowing down, getting some reps with the first team offense. ” – Hayden Bird, Boston.com – 8/01/19

“Meyers made the catch of camp to date when a nice Stidham pass found him in traffic against Keion Crossen and Patrick Chung, but Meyers tipped the ball to himself as the defenders collided and Meyers scored by himself.” – Greg Bedard, Boston Sports Journal – 8/01/19

“While the rest of the Patriots’ skill players seem like they’re trying to catch up, Meyers takes the field day after day, and just makes plays.” – Greg Bedard, Boston Sports Journal – 8/01/19

“The single best rep of the period came with J.C. Jackson jamming Jakobi Meyers and nearly stoning him at the line of scrimmage. Meyers eventually recovered, broke off his crossing route and made a diving catch. ” – Phil Perry, NBC Sports Boston – 8/01/19

“He continues to make acrobatic catches as well as the more routine ones. And he continues to get reps with Brady. It’s not just side-sessions with the future Hall of Famer anymore.” – Phil Perry, NBC Sports Boston – 8/01/19

“Rookie wide receiver Jakobi Meyers continues to play with the first team. We’ll note he hasn’t been made available to the media the last two days, and it seems as though the Patriots want to limit the hype for the undrafted free agent. He caught three passes from quarterback Tom Brady in 11-on-11s.” – Doug Kyed, NESN – 8/02/19

“Another solid outing for undrafted receiver Jakobi Meyers. The 6-foot-2 Meyers saw a ton of work with Brady and delivered. Brady completed back-to-back passes to the rookie during one 11-on-11 period.” – Kevin Duffy, Boston Herald – 8/02/19

“Once again, Jakobi Meyers was playing with Brady’s offensive grouping. The undrafted rookie caught three passes from Brady to lead all receivers on Friday.” – Mark Daniels, Providence Journal – 8/02/19

“Meyers is really becoming involved.” – Greg Bedard, Boston Sports Journal – 8/05/19

“Meyers made a toe-tapping catch in 11-on-11s from Brady. He led Patriots pass-catchers in receptions during full-team drills.” – Doug Kyed, NESN – 8/05/19

“Meyers, Harry, Braxton Berrios and Gunner Olszewski all took punt return reps. That was a first for Meyers, who did muff a punt.” – Doug Kyed, NESN – 8/05/19

“Undrafted rookie receiver Jakobi Meyers keeps rolling. Tom Brady continues to look his way, and Meyers always seems to be open. Like Maurice Harris, Meyers doesn’t appear to be a dynamic athlete, but the production speaks for itself.” – Kevin Duffy, Boston Herald – 8/05/19

“Meyers made a terrific leaping catch in 1-on-1s. In Brady’s final period, a hurry-up drill, he immediately connected with Meyers on an out route to start the drive. Meyers also got a crack at punt returner. He’s a work in progress at that spot. Meyers muffed his second return.” – Kevin Duffy, Boston Herald – 8/05/19

“Meyers continues to work with presumed starters and does not look out of place. His diving catch came during 11-on-11 work after he beat rookie corner Amani Oruwariye on a deep out. Meyers reached out full extension and hauled in the pass as he went to the turf near the sideline. His hands have been impressive thus far.” – Paul Perillo, Patriots.com – 8/05/19
