But Woolen is a 6'4 210 lb 4.2 something #1 CB that with Gonzo would be almost unstoppable. And we'd have a true #1 WR for Maye, and 2 2nd Round Picks. Plus we still have 2 3rd Round Picks. We can address quite a few needs. Yesterday you said "Go big or go home". This is that. And that's not counting who we might get in FA.

And that's not counting what we might get in FA. And, Ronnie Stanley and every other FA (who we can pay more than their teams, look at that infusion of a # WR and #1 CB to go with Maye, Gonzo, etc, and that works in our favor as a destination to sign with.

If it wasn’t an option the Patriots wouldn’t have called but they did.
No idea how conversations went, are if they are ongoing still or not, but I wouldn’t say it’s impossible, unlikely is a good word.

It was never an option for Philly, but most teams call about just about every player. Thats just the usual order of business and the media just runs with it for content. He isn't getting traded from Philly for financial reasons.

Then again I didn't think DK would ask for a trade. But here we are.

He would be a much better Devante Parker - faster, younger, freakish athleticism.
Sure, he may not get the nuances of a sight-read offense, but having him as a threat would boost this offense a ton. KB, Pop and even Boutte would be much more productive with him as the X.

I may prefer AJ as the complete WR - but he'll cost more just because of the SB success and all.

What about Lockett, though? A player to snag who isn't a true WR1, but one of the most consistent. Would be a great addition to bolster the middle class of our offense.

Giving up #4? I swear to God. For a guy on the record saying he doesn't want to be here. For a guy not in the top 20 in receiving yards. For a guy tied with... wait for it... Pop feakin' Douglas in receptions, 39th in the NFL. 50th in TDs. Jesus H Christ. Yeah, he's a freak of nature. So freakin' what. Now he wants out of Seattle, so he can go play on some NBA super team???

I am all for having DK Metcalf, but WTF giving up #4? We need to be thankful that these guys are GM of the Pats.
