If they agreed, you wouldn't make that trade? A #1 WR, #1 CB, and an extra 2nd Rounder? Geno Smith isn't getting them over the top. They seem to be willing to trade him to Green Bay for their 20 something 1st Round Pick.

AJ Brown is not even an option because the Eagles would take a $36 million dead cap hit. The Pats cannot walk away from Brown. He is not for sale. Higgins got franchise tagged. The Patriots didn't do that. It was the Bengals. If they truly are working out a contract, how is that the Pats walking away? If they intend to tag and trade, the Pats will explore it my the draft. Still, it has nothing to do with walking away. What does Seattle want for Metcalf? That is all that matters.

I am stunned he wants out. My guess is..it's the Chiefs. The Chiefs MAY have a new reality now that the NFL isn't going to be able to hold their water ever again. So they need to figure out a way to at least be competitive. This is a way to stay competitive, just not win a SB. Or even make the playoffs.
