JSN got open because every defense the Seahawks play needs to shade a safety over the top to account for Metcalf's deep threat potential. DK stretched the field so JSN could get open underneath as the slot receiver. I don’t think JSN is a bad receiver by any means, and I am not comparing Metcalf and JSN to Randy Moss and Wes Welker, but the setup is the same. The slot guy gets pumped-up numbers because the outside guy can run by just about anyone if the corner doesn't have help.Still time to play out. I do wonder why Metcalf was not as good last year, he was the #2 receiver, JSN outplayed him and was the better receiver.
