No chance. He’s coming off a breakout season of 1,062 yards and 8 touchdowns despite having only 69 touches in 15 games. He’s got a 1st round pedigree, he’s got truly elite speed, he’s on a Super Bowl contending team, on his 4th year of his rookie deal with the 5th year option a lock to be picked up by next month. And he’s still young, turning 24 later this month. So you’re talking another two years before he’s set to score on his next big contract, and that’s not counting the chance of a franchise tag in 2027. And it’s more likely the Lions extend him before it gets to that point.

1. The team would have to part ways with the player...

Hadnt heard anything about AJ Brown. So why is his name being brought up?

2. Higgins is being tagged with talks of a long term contract..anything is possible, but as of now...they haven't shook loose..

Blew out his ACL AND MCL, won’t be 100% until 2026 most likely. Don’t want to pay 30 mill a year for a guy to sit in the stands.

Aiyuk already has a deal and will not cost $30 million a year. Odds are the 49ers will eat some more of his deal in a trade.

And tearing the MCL doesn’t change the recovery time of an ACL tear.

Bedard wasn’t high on a Metcalf trade. He said signing Adam’s or Godwin or trading for Aiyuk or AJ Brown (he believes the latter is still a possibility) were better moves than trading for Metcalf.

There have been rumors. Not sure if there has been confirmed reports.

Bedard wasn’t high on a Metcalf trade. He said signing Adam’s or Godwin or trading for Aiyuk or AJ Brown (he believes the latter is still a possibility) were better moves than trading for Metcalf.

I think Brown is possible because the Eagles will have a lot of people to pay over the next 2 years and Brown is not as crucial for their offensive scheme as he would be for a gun slinger big arm QB like Maye.

The fact that people keep talking about AJ Brown is off the walls to me. Philly has no incentive to trade him whatsoever, biggest pipe dream in a long time around here.

I don’t think it is a real possibility, but Bedard said it was a possibility on his podcast. Granted that was before Myles Garrett resigned with Cleveland. The most obvious reason they might trade Brown is because they would need money down the road for Garrett’s contract.

But Brown is not happy in Philly. If he is more of a problem behind the scenes than we know, they might be willing to trade him.

He just won a ring...and you seen him praising his coach. He is not a problem behind the scenes. What... the eagles are unhappy with him reading a book on the sidelines..

He did look to call out Jalen Hurts claiming “passing” was a a big problem with their loss in December. He had to walk it back. It wasn’t just about the book on the sidelines.




Brandon Graham said in an interview that AJ Brown and Jalen Hurts were no longer friends and Brown wasn’t responding to the situation in the best way.






And he also went off on Eagle fans on Twitter just last week. Grant for them speculating on him.

Higgins will want minimum 30 mill a year now but you could argue for 35 if you are his agent.

I’ll ask again any chance at prying away Jameson Williams from Detroit?

I wanted to get him at the deadline in 2023 when he was a depressed asset. Coming off a suspension, had a few drops, and the Lions traded for Peoples-Jones midseason. Would have made sense to try and pry him away while he was cheap. Now there is no chance as it finally seems to have clicked for Williams and he is a perfect compliment to St. Brown.

Still time to play out. I do wonder why Metcalf was not as good last year, he was the #2 receiver, JSN outplayed him and was the better receiver.
Higgins is better than Metcalf and people saying he wasn't a #1, then Metcalf is not a #1.
Aiyuk is in the ballpark of Metcalf and also Godwin has been better than Metcalf recently but both coming off injuries.

Yeah, he'd be their best receiver but also highest paid and not really a leader type.

I'm in the I LIKE Metcalf Buit don't LOVE Metcalf but need to see how the WR room ends up before making any real judgement. If they end up with no Travis Hunter, Aiyuk, Godwin or Brown etc. then I'd say they should have done it. Until then I reserve judgment.
