So glad I know where my keys are!My back hurts all the time, I never remember where I put my keys, I get up to pee several times a night, and I now have a yearly visit to the cardiologist.
It's still extremely early. Hell what is it 5 teams that don't have HC's at the moment? With that said. I would assume hiring Vrabel so quickly should give us a head start on interviews and making offers. It's still early, but we really don't have a choice. It's not like coaches are lining up to for the Pats.
And I'd rather have this than another year with Mayo.
And that number was eleven. There isn't an issue with interviewing a number of real candidates, the issue is when you hire the 12th because a number turned you down.
I’m not worried how Mayes’ resembles Hoyer’s game. What is Hoyers’ game anyway? Whatever it is he’s certainly been around enough to have seen game from many perspectives. I think his last years with the Patriots he was being paid to be a coach in the locker room. No need for multiple voices, Hoyer has seen everything another voice could bring. And no way it would be good to bring Cam in! Except maybe for a fan appreciation nostalgia night.Brian Hoyer said if Josh called him to help coach Drake he’s not going to say no. So I do like that presence there. does Hoyers game resemble Mayes no not at all. But I think multiple voices like a Hoyer and say a former QB who was also known to rush a bit like say a Cam Newton I would like to have him have that multifaceted perspective.
I don’t agree.Like Brissett, Hoyer would be a bad mentor for Maye.
I was thinking, maybe they hire some up and comer for OC and then hire Josh as special assistant to the OC. Same logic, hire Hoyer as special assistant to the QB coach. Let the nominal coaches deal with the formal administrivia and organizational support while the special assistants focus on football skills. Hopefully OL staff gets filled out quickly too.If the do decide Josh is the guy and they want to run E/P, Hoyer would be an interesting choice as an assistant/QB coach because he has played in E/P, WC and the spread offense. He knows the subtleties and the differences of the systems.
As it relates to Drake, think of Hoyer as a glorified translator.
Or they're waiting for the playoffs to be over or the Super Bowl bye week.I suspect the reason there is such radio silence on coordinator interviews is that Pats do not want it made public when they are turned down.
It was an embarrassment last year
I prefer the positive attitudeOr they're waiting for the playoffs to be over or the Super Bowl bye week.
From all reports Peter’s was a excellent hire.
This coordinator hiring period is giving me PTSD flashbacks from last year when all the top candidates came off the board whike the house burned in Foxboro.
Come on Vrabel don’t leave us with table scraps
You are exaggerating what I said. I said I wasn’t sure about his leadership capabilities.Your posts are giving me flashbacks to last year when you didn’t want Jayden Daniels because “his articulation wasn’t very good “ during his Heisman acceptance speech.
He has an all pro returner in mighty mouse Jones whenever he's not on IR..He was OK. He needs to pick a better KR though.
Ivan its an opinion on a message board. No need to suffer physical symptoms from it. If you disagree I politely suggest you let it go in one ear and out the other or ignoreYou guys do realize that at least 4 teams haven’t even hired their head coaches yet, right? And that you can pick up and coming coaches from the college ranks as well, right?
You ***** about absolutely everything, it’s nauseating.
You are exaggerating what I said. I said I wasn’t sure about his leadership capabilities.
Lots of folks had concerns about his build and injury risk in nfl.
So far we were proven wrong.
Unlike many on this board I have no problem admitting when I am wrong
Operating based on fear of failure is not how to lead a team. With Vrabel in charge the Pats have a legitimate chance of getting anyone out there. Even if a candidate decides to go somewhere else it would not be a clown show, or stain on the organization.I suspect the reason there is such radio silence on coordinator interviews is that Pats do not want it made public when they are turned down.
