He wasn't in charge of any of those units. This was his first time being the Special Teams Coordinator and it turned out pretty good. He turned around a terrible special teams unit (2023) into a pretty solid one (2024) with largely similar personnel, even despite having to deal with the new kickoff rules.
You're right, he was the assistant

Please no.
Why no? He was a great dc with the 49ers and the jets defense was good too. If Vrabel wants him I trust Vrabel to be able to evaluate if Saleh is good. At least I expect improvement to Covington

It's probably not all their fault, but when your units are the worst on the team, you should probably fire that position coach. Good riddens to the WR & OL coaches. QB & TE's coach also gone.
Let's get some expertise and energy in these new guys.

For Coaches, I'd like to see them add Matt Luke, Alex Atkins or Sam Gregg.

I'd love to see Patrick Graham back with the Pats. He was an excellent coach.

Yes. It's clearly the O-line Coach who is the issue when the HC and VP of Player Personnel run 32 different O-linemen through *SMH*

That's a recipe for FAILURE. Scott Peters should NOT be fired for the failures of Mayo and Wolf.

He was OK. He needs to pick a better KR though.

The new KR rules make KR almost an afterthought.

They need to pull Marcus Jones off both KR and PR because his body can't handle it.

Hopefully, the Pats will add a RB who can do KR and PR duties in the off-season. A kid out of college in the 4th/5th round would be fine.

The OL coaches gotta go - GOT TO GO - next.

This is why you are horrible. Blaming the Position Coach for 32 different O-linemen is ridiculous. That's a Mayo/Wolf issue. Not an O-line Coach issue.

I remember his big "calling card" was that he actually helped the front office significantly with scouting special teams players they should target in the late rounds. It seems like maybe that paid dividends already in 2024 with the Marcellas Dial pick who developed into a solid contributor in that phase.

He left to be the Bengals Oline coach earlier today.

This coordinator hiring period is giving me PTSD flashbacks from last year when all the top candidates came off the board whike the house burned in Foxboro.
Come on Vrabel don’t leave us with table scraps

What good OCs and DCs have been hired away?

Not Vrabel related but interesting. Probably a Wolf move.
