Well, I really liked the thought of Vrabes a year ago and he was kinda my 1A 1B with Flores this year; but that list of coaches who used to play for the team hired them is…,.

Kinda less than awe inspiring.
But I hope that not being his first HC rodeo that he breaks that pattern.

Better one year late than never, looking very forward to Mr. Vrable coaching the Pats. Go Patriots!

I like the idea of bringing McD back. No wat he’s getting another coaching opportunity anytime soon so that would give Drake some stability on the offensive philosophy for years to come.

I wonder what happened in Miami that Wes got fired. They did have a great WR room, but they also looked well coached and effective during his 3 years down there. Anyone got any info?

Miami's passing offense fell from top of the league in 2023 to 15th in 2024. But you'd think quarterback play had something to do with that, considering all the time Tua missed.

plus, Waddle and Hill both missed a significant number of games. Can anyone who has access to the Miami press tell us what they are saying are the reasons for the firing?

Main theory is Tyreek/Wes didn't get along and McDaniel needed a fall guy for a crappy O and a way to placate the child beater.

Also wouldn't be surprised if Tua had a hand in this.

McDaniels and Saleh under Vrabel and suddenly we have a serious organisation again.
That is true - that would be a very stable, experienced staff - both having been HC's.
But BB tried that with Patricia & Judge & O'Brien and it was a disaster. (granted, all the particularities of their roles)

The only downfall would be both guys could be looking for a quick rebound to chase the HC job somewhere again.
I actually think that'd be Saleh more than JMD - who might be done in the HC carousel for a while, or NFL at least.

Being the 1st HC hired certainly gives Vrabel a leg up on the competition for coordinators. Although I suspect he already has 'his guys' lined up.

I’m guessing had something to do with their best player crying publicly that he was “out of here”

Agree completely. And he’s probably been expecting a job this cycle, and preparing potential candidates for his staff for a while now.
