Every time the whole foot counts. Recalling counts when the toe is the entire step. If he had somehow been able to push off the toe, it would have been a catch but I think physics may rule that out
So just trying to understand it in my head. If he had picked up his leg on the 2nd foot after getting the toe down and just fallen out of bounds it would have been a catch, but since he didn't and the heel came down out of bounds it was incomplete?

I don't care! I can't stand it!
I’ve seen this. But I forget the context. Since our team sucks, can we have story time please ? What’s the origin ?

People, stop blaming the OL. They did a lot better today.
Run game was mostly productive (avg. were good).
Pass pro struggled at times, still can't handle blitzes, but they created enough time on a majority of plays than a couple weeks ago.

Everyone bashing the D? Yeah how about down both safeties and dude who's not really in game shape in his second year? Think that having one of Peppers or Duggar might have been really helpful? Not to mention the constant 3 and outs or maybe a bit more starts to wear you down.
If you are grading in a curve consider the opponent.

The patriots had only 2 3 and outs and none in the second half.
Their second half drained were 12,5,10,15 plays.
Miami’s were 10,9,18 all ending in scores, then the last 3 runs trying to kill the clock.

If the defense was worn out it was their own fault.

Oh, jeez. That meme has been around on this board for forever. I don't remember the origins. May even go back to the times of NEM.

Brissett plays like he's Mr Magoo. He acts like he can't see 10yds downfield and needs to peer through a bad glasses Rx for 5 seconds to make out what's in front of him.

Maye would make this offense run better (even allowing for rookie mistakes) simply by virtue of his superior vision and processing speed.

How many plays today would have worked had JB been quicker in making his decisions and throws?

How on any planet is a toe not enough in the end zone. Give me a break if polk had landed on his back first to counts how stupid is that
I apologize I didn't see your username name. I'm known to be a positive optimistic poster. Don't want you to think I'm a wise guy.

This is just unacceptable, and excuses are for losers.
Quit fkn around and overthinking it, put Maye in and let him learn.

Dude, wtf are you talking about? Maybe more so than any other professional sport (sans a Celtics Big 3 or a LeBron/Wade/Bosh situation), NFL teams can turn it around “overnight.”

Football is 80% about the QB, and a good QB turns things around quickly.

I seem to remember there was a team in 2001, coming off a bad season the year before, who started 2001 off 0-2 and then had a change at QB and won the Super Bowl.

Heck, look at Washington this year. One of the worst teams in the league magically turned into an elite team because of an upgrade at QB.
Washington also has a top end WR, the Pats don't. The '01 Pats were driven by their defense with adequate play from a smart QB. That was D all the way and without Barmore and trading Judon that wasn't happening this year.

Also the line in Washington isn't all depleted and run down like the Pats' line is. Teams like that are aberrations.

Correct. The entire step counts. Toe taps work because the toe is the only part that touches the ground on that step

That's the rule

Points galore all over the NFL today, apart from in New England. Rookie QBs throwing all over the field, apart from in New England. Exciting, high scoring TD fests all over the League, apart from in New England. With every passing week I'm becoming more convinced this coaching staff is desperately trying to get fired. We are not currently a functioning NFL team, and it's not close. RedZone may be calling for future Sundays.
