Player Signing Patriots Claim 4 on Waivers

I’ve posted the voluminous list of players that would have improved the team a few times already.
Pick who you like. Literally you can’t go wrong, there were many good players available at many positions that are better than what we have and we had 50,000,000 to spend on them.
Got it. You just wanna *****.

What a lame response. I answered your question. I told you the list was posted. I could write 100 different scenarios that would have made this team better and you just defend Kraft not paying his fair share to furls a quality team.
When you have the worst roster, or being generous one of the worst few rosters. all those dozens of players that better teams signed to improve would have been better than what we have. It’s common sense. Check out the list and tell me we couldn’t have a better roster.

I have not once even mentioned Kraft. That's your axe to grind, my man.

Link to your list please?

I have said that spending money to overpay someone else's jags when you have jags is foolish. I have also said that it's clear they felt the issues on this team were the GM and the QB, who are now gone. They filled holes at RB, QB, TE, and WR. Clearly, They clearly are going to build via draft and fill in FA as needed. They felt their guys were better than the available pool of FAs. The fact they still have 50m to spend speaks to me that they have that money earmarked for roster flexibility (Aiyuk or similar situation) and don't want to spend it like it's burning a hole in their pockets. I am good with them taking a conservative approach if they believe the pool of available players doesn't fit them perfectly. It's about building a team, not collecting talent, someone around here used to say that I think. I also think that adding a loud, outside voice to the locker room may not have been the best thing to do with a bunch of young draftees and a first year coach.

TLDR: have some fekkin' patience.

I'm going to say this much. I agree they are UP on QB and RB but there's little to no change in RB & TE. IMO. We'll see about the D.

I still see 2 to 8 wins. Need luck on the injury front and the bounce of the ball.

If I have a chance I’ll look for it, but just google a list of free agents signed, you’ll have many to pick from.

The talent level on this team is awful. The holes you say they filled are exactly the JAG moves you say they don’t want make. Yet that’s all they did.
If you don’t even know who the free agents were, how can you say our guys are better than the available free agents were?

Tell me there were not better players than
Gibson
Osbourne
Hooper
Jordan
Leverett
Orakafor
Lowe
Bourne
Pharms
Ekuale
Jennings
Uche
Takitaki
Ximines
Ellis
Hawkins
Austin
Pettus
The 4 guys these cut and we grabbed up

We are weak at many position. Good players changed teams. The only one we got were the bargain basement guys that came cheap. It’s fact.

I think you meant up at WR, so ...

I think they are better at RB, marginally. Gibson is a better receiver. I think Zeke had name recognition but he was very much average. TE is probably a push. If Hooper, you know, shows up... then they will be improved. I cannot tell you how excited I was when they signed Gesicki last year and how disappointed I was in his play and effort. Hooper just needs to fog a mirror to be better.

I think this is probably fair. ++ QB, + WR, with OL, RB and TE all being roughly a push. The defense as a whole is likely a push. Kicker is an improvement, though not a massive one, but that does impact wins. However, it also remains to be seen how the changes in coaching help or hurt the offensive, defensive and special teams performances. A range of 2 to 8 wins at this time seems reasonable.

Remember you are comparing to the worst offense in the NFL which has also gotten worse on the OL.
Is marginal improvement of a couple of backups really all the worst offense can hope for?

How is ol and defense a push?

How does the defense push the loss of Judon, Barmore, guy with no viable replacement for any, and how does it push the loss of the greatest defensive mind of a generation?

This is not a good football team. Many players don’t belong in the league or are going to have a role they just aren’t good enough for.
Thats not “taking it out on the players” it’s calling out management for not trying to build a competitive team. Kraft wouldn’t pay his fair share to build a roster. How can we be ok with that?

We can be done, bud. You want to rail and hate on them, I tend to think they'll be better. We will disagree. Let's move on.

Jacobs should challenge to start at one of the Tackle spots.
Broncos have Bolles & McGlinchey at Tackle, and Jacobs was playing behind both.

It will at least light a fire under Lowe and Chuks - if they slip, they're done.
Wallace should get a chance to emerge as RT of the future IMO - I just pray wisdom rules and they return Onwenu to RG.

Lowe/Jacobs - Sow - Andrews - Onwenu - Chuks/Wallace

My brother. Take a chill pill. Judon was not on the field most of last season so I am not considering him. Barmore is a fair question, however I am hoping Keion White takes a step up and helps make up for that - and Barmore himself may return at some point. Also, Gonzo is back which helps the unit as a whole.

Regarding coaching, I literally called that out in my post that you quoted. To quote our favorite green turd, R-E-L-A-X

They chose not to spend 50,000,000 that they could have spent. Why? You can easily find 50,000,000 of players, many times over that would have made this team better.
You are aware cap space carries forward to next year? They did go after a high-priced WR and lost out.
This is a 3 year rebuild - just have to be patient. The roster was a mess, and that doesn't get fixed in one year.

I have to give you credit. You’re a bulldog at beating your drum and grinding that axe while twisting people’s words to fit your agenda. It never ends with you lol! I admire that in a certain way.

To your point:

1) Free Agency is always important…so is winning
2) I always say newly hired GMs/HCs need 3 years for a fair assessment . If you’re not going to give them that, then what’s the point of hiring them in the first place
3) You sign FAs because you believe they will make a valuable contribution to the success of your team…whether they are big signings or role players
4) I believe all fans should give the benefit of the doubt to a new GM/HC. We shouldn’t get the pitchforks out and burn them at the stake before the season even starts. That’s petty and self-serving.
By my math, 3 years puts us smack dab in the year 2027.
