The National Football Post reported on Sunday that former Redskins wide receiver Antwaan Randle El apparently had received an offer to come to New England earlier this spring.
The report came in a piece discussing why the Redskins weren't successful under the direction of Jim Zorn after the departure of coaching legend Joe Gibbs, with Randle El pointing the finger at Redskins owner Daniel Snyder for meddling.
The 30-year old receiver ended up rejoining the Steelers after signing a three-year contract to return to his old club, telling the Northwest Indiana times that it was simply the best choice for him.
""I just prayed to God to lead and guide me, and that is what he did," Randle El told the newspaper. "Coming back to the Steelers was the best for me.""
