OFFICIAL 2024 League Cutdown Day Discussion

I kinda like the possibility of Larry Borom from the Bears. He has played everything but Center. He hurt his ankle and was carted off the other day, but no update on the injury. I also am watching Washington to see if Armani Taylor-Prioleau is waived.

That's what I heard as well. It seemed like he was definitely off. Happening once I can understand, because it's a new emphasis and you want to kind of test where that line is. I think that's why we saw Onwenu get one as well. But once it's warned, and then called once, having it happen twice more for Chuks was inexcusable.
LT anxiety.

Do you advocate spending money on a FA OT that is at the end of his career and is probably not better than what we currently have?
That’s a dumb question. But I certainly would spend money to improve the team.

I'm going to give Lowe the benefit of the doubt at least he's trying BB literally gave away a Fourth Rounder for that bum Wheatley.
I really think that folks are running with the narrative on Lowe from last year. He did not look bad against Nolan Smith outside of 2 plays.

He has been better overall than expected.

The problem with finding an OT at this point is that the number of teams who have such a glut of talent at the position that they would be forced to cut one could be counted by someone who lost both their hands in a fireworks accident.

Last year we needed tackle depth after camp, and we got Wheatley and Lowe. That's the caliber we're talking about. Now, due to injuries, that may still be necessary. We need professional BODIES as much as we need a talent upgrade. So I definitely think they should be in the market, be it waivers or trades.

But as an aside to the above, if any of the veterans that are still available in free agency haven't been signed yet, despite the overall lack of tackle depth in the league, it should paint a giant BUYER BEWARE sign on their back. Individual NFL teams are stupid. The league as a whole is not so stupid as to leave a valuable tackle on the street through the entirety of the preseason.

The solution in 2024 is to survive. The real solution to OT comes in 2025.
Of course you aren’t going to solve problems with players that couldn’t make another team, but you surely could find players better than what we have.
Look at it this way: how many teams could Lowe make. Very few. So the guys getting cut could be better than him, even if they aren’t very good. Our talent level at some positions is so poor that a guy not good enough to stick on most other rosters is better than what we have.
OL, DL,LB particularly including depth at those spots.

I mean, probably right. It's not like the rest of the line looked comfortable and he was the only one. This was a make shift combination because guys keep getting hurt, so you had Chuks losing his mind, Sow stepping on shoes, etc. I'm willing to give him a chance to correct those mistakes (don't really have a choice at the moment anyway).

I hope our Blocking Scheme is built around helping Lowe...poster Wozzy pointed out that Chukwuma O sucks from day 1. Last preseason game cemented it for me don't know what Wolf and Mayo were thinking during the signing.

Smith played 24 snaps. Looking bad on 1/12 plays which is probably 1/6 passes is awful.

I actually agree with you, I think they should bring some guys in. They need more options, and those aren't on the current roster. I'm not convinced any of the cuts they bring in would be better than Lowe, especially while playing catchup. But that's not a hill I'm going to die on. I think if Lowe was the only problem on the line they'd be able to get by (with the priority being to replace him next year).

Do you advocate sitting on 50,000,000 and not improving a 4 win team?

Why was he benched last year?

This is what I found:

That's right forgot about Terrance weakly! He was brought here on a private jet.. and left on a Grey hound bus..

I will say this we need to give C Wallace a chance to develop at one of those Tackle spots. Not every Team have a Top 10 selection or First Rounder at Left or Right Tackle of course some do. Moral of post they're some Third and Fifth Round Left and Right Tackles Starting for other Teams.

What do you have against our DL & LBs?

Fitting name Big for nothing.
Last season we had some characters boy... Chris light as a board... Reilly releive me reiff.. weakly Jr. Bent trent... I wonder what was the thought when signing those guys...

I would take Bent Trent back in a heartbeat he's still better than the alternatives. I knew that move letting him go would come back to haunt us.
