OT: Panthers Saw Mrs Tepper Weigh in on Draft Picks

Mego is actually pretty good; I suspect she could have a done a better job than BB, at least with the WR picks. Maybe it is because she has the most pleasant voice on the radio, she is one of my favorite radio personalities, along with Gresh and Fauria. It is more than just Mego's voice; she seems like the sane, insightful one compared to Adam Jones.

Gresh...? Dude's a blowhard.

Can't believe that EEI gave its PM drive shift to the execrable Adam Jones & Mego the ignorant slut.

Teams a dumpster fire for this reason. Letting non football people have “input” on football things. I’m sure the players must love that.

This is interesting, especially given all the discussion of who held what say for the Patriots back in April:

That explains it. I was wondering why they picked Christian Pulisic with their first pick this year.

Is the outrage because she is not a football person or because she is the wife of the owner?

If people are ok with owners having input when they have no clue about football, the wife is just an extension of that. Both equally bad.

The way the guy next to her looked at her was hilarious.

Whole lotta nothing. I ask my daughter about some of my work stuff. She replies by saying "papa" and eating a fistful of mud. I nod at her sagely advice but end up finding my answers elsewhere.

This lady has a job--a big one--in the organization, but it ain't making football decisions. Anything they ask her regarding actual football decisions is just conversation, not orders or serious input.

This is a very low bar to clear.

The outrage by fans might be unqualified, non-football people having an influence in drafting players based on their perceived ability to judge NFL talent.

Owners are certainly entitled to have a say but they need to consider what they want a say over.

If Kraft overruled BB in 2010 because he wanted him to pick players he liked this place would lose its collective ****.

People were pissed Myra stepped in to admonish the Christian Peter pick but that was a different circumstance. Her interest was personal but she was also protecting the brand.

If you want to make her part of the pre draft vetting (community service, character, etc) that's what she would be qualified to measure.
Maybe she's like Amy Adams' character in Trouble With The Curve.

I don't remember anyone being "pissed' except Parcells. Still not sure how Peter was put on the list of players that would have even been considered draftable for Parcells to consider him. Especially considering the s**tstorm that happened with Lisa Olson's sexual harassment in 1990 and the fact Myra was a HUGE proponent of Women's rights and Anti-Rape Culture.

I remember sports radio blowing up.

The Celtics went through something like this many years ago when owner John Y Brown was married to Phyllis George.

Red was so pissed at Y, John & his dumbass bimbo that he nearly joined the Knickerbockers.

Too bad BB didn't listen to Myra when she told him to draft Dunlap instead of Cunningham!

Amy Adams? I ****ed her.... Oh!

You wish you did bud
