OT: Panthers Saw Mrs Tepper Weigh in on Draft Picks

Owners all have the money to pay the roster. The NFL brings in so much $, that financial considerations are nothing more than greed - if they refuse to pony up.

That said, owners should only have input on a player if there is a legal / morality issue. I’d veto Tyreek. I don’t want anything to do with that POS, nor do I want my name/company/team to be associated with that guy.

Other than those type of situations, if the owner has input, it’s because they don’t have the right football people in place - which is their fault.

Honestly. Most GMs pay their dues to get to where they are and are deeply committed to the process in drafting the right player.

For all we know, she’s talking about moving up in her fantasy league, or the ‘he’ she was referring to is someone of zero consequence.

If she’s actually involved in decisions, of course I’d get why fans are fired up. Based on this video? Seems like general larger Panther fan frustration just looking for a chance to come out.

as the one team that has a worse roster than the Pats, it would see the Panthers need all the help they can get

She’s the Chief Administrative Officer of the Panthers. Meanwhile, the team has been a disaster under Tepper and its value has at least doubled.

If Kraft overruled BB in 2010 because he wanted him to pick players he liked this place would lose its collective ****.

People were pissed Myra stepped in to admonish the Christian Peter pick but that was a different circumstance. Her interest was personal but she was also protecting the brand.

If you want to make her part of the pre draft vetting (community service, character, etc) that's what she would be qualified to measure.

Was just about to mention Peter… great point. I’m thinking Robert listened to Myra on a multitude of topics. She definitely had her fingerprints on this team when she was alive. After all wasn’t much of the Kraft money Myra’s father’s?

Mego is actually pretty good; I suspect she could have a done a better job than BB, at least with the WR picks. Maybe it is because she has the most pleasant voice on the radio, she is one of my favorite radio personalities, along with Gresh and Fauria. It is more than just Mego's voice; she seems like the sane, insightful one compared to Adam Jones.
