Those are about as ridiculous examples as they come.

For real? Shula who coached Johnny Unitas. Talk about lucking into two HOF quarter backs.

Andy Reid who inherited the 2nd pick in the draft to draft McNabb.
And Bill the Coach inherited a #1 pick, pro bowler quarterback two seasons removed from making the playoffs....and what happened? They went 5-11...

Two seasons? That's ancient history in the NFL even back then.

Based on yesterday I agree.
Someone made mention of burrow struggling.. a great QB with all pro guys on the outside will figure it out. So do we have faith our team will figure it out before cincy does?

Yesterday was a team massacre.. I'll keep saying this until BB does it permanently.. Keon white needs to be starting.. the defense allowed Dallas to dictate the tone.. that to me is where the game was lost.. mentally. This team can move salary around to next season.. save the season and trade for DeVante !!!

His last year in Pittsburgh Claypool wasn’t good. He had 9 TDs his first year in the NFL and 3 ever since. We need an upgrade a WR., not another piece of ****.
I understand what you're saying.. don't know if it's a Character issue or he just isn't bought in..

I have to wonder how this plays out in the locker room too. The team spent all week hearing about him touching Gardner’s junk (which IMO was a lie, but still) and then they go into the game and he blows it big time and pretty much loses it for them single handedly, while their two best defensive players suffer serious injuries. I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s an anti-Mac sentiment in the locker room right now too.

The Patriots just look like a dumb team that doesn't matter anymore.

I've been a "you can win with Mac Jones" guy for awhile. I've always blamed the HC and GM of the NEP for the poor results. But yesterday was a big eye opener. Yes, the receivers suck, yes the offensive line sucks, yes, stevenson looks like crap, yes, they have absolutely no playmakers on the offensive side of the ball.....BUT....Mac Jones was putrid yesterday and it got me thinking that maybe he isn't "the guy". If he throws out another stinker vs New Orleans I'm all for Zappe Hour because at 1-4 the season is over and you're playing just not to finish last in the division.
Jones deserves some culpability for the disaster of a football organization that the New England Patriots have become.

Zappe Hour is dead and buried as it should be. It will likely be someone else.

I think this whole Cunningham is a WR experiment is just weird. Maybe there’s something the team knows that I don’t but to me he looked like a guy that could completely change how this team should be defended by other teams and a fit for the modern NFL game. Yes he’s a project but if the season is going to be a lost one why not give him a shot.

BB just had the worst loss of his coaching career. Including the Browns.

Win # 300 could be some time.

Mac Gump is slowly ripping down everything that Brady built up. The Pat's are on the brink of laughingstockville.

Yep.

Ever since Brady left, Foxborough - along with the rest of Boston sports - has returned to being Loserville USA, same as it was before he arrived.

Amazing ain't it?

Yeah, just like he ruined that one guy ... what was his name? Tom-something?

What an asinine theory, that BB ruins QBs.

The much more likely and obvious answer is that Mac Jones is a bad quarterback. End of discussion.

Corky is indeed a bad QB; but at the same time Bill MUST be told to resign his GM duties on Black Monday.

we have to continue playing mac, even if I believe zappe is 50/50 better than mac

we HAVE to know what mac has before this regular season ends, so that's that, if we do sit mac at some point this year, it needs to be after were 110% sure we don't care to pick up the option
Agreed, He looked better the first three games. Even yesterday, he started out good. A couple stupid penalties, and he started pressing, which led to bad decisions, which led to more pressing... and a complete unraveling. I suspect most of us have played sports when something like that happened. IF we have a better option than Mac, fine to try that, but we'd don't. So our best hope is that Mac somehow figures it out.

Always fun to see Bryant remember he is Bryant.

Yep... Myles Away & Shaun Wade do not ****ing DESERVE to be in the building of ANY team considered a legit Contender.
The Spaceman's simply NOT an NFL player; and Wade's the defensive version of Corky: a ****ing ****y.

People keep saying that an athletic quarterback is great because it helps extend a play if things break down. But if things keep breaking down repeatedly because no one is open and they have to constantly work off script, that's not sustainable unless you're Patrick Mahomes.

I'm sort of stunned at how bad Smith-Schuster has been. Honestly. 1-of-5 targeting him yesterday, which has been a trend so far through four games. Parker is massively inconsistent, and Bourne is obviously drawing the extra attention as a result and seeing relatively few targets. Smith-Schuster is single-handedly hampering this group, and I don't know how they overcome that.
