Agreed, He looked better the first three games. Even yesterday, he started out good. A couple stupid penalties, and he started pressing, which led to bad decisions, which led to more pressing... and a complete unraveling. I suspect most of us have played sports when something like that happened. IF we have a better option than Mac, fine to try that, but we'd don't. So our best hope is that Mac somehow figures it out.
I always thought this season was for finding out what we had in Mac. I think he gets the whole season.

Well, to make matters worse....Jonnu Smith has more receiving yards (15-179) than anyone on the Patriots. Jonnu F#CKING Smith has MORE receiving yards than anyone on the Pats...let. that. sink. in.....
They should post that fact on the bulletin board in the locker room.

People keep saying that an athletic quarterback is great because it helps extend a play if things break down. But if things keep breaking down repeatedly because no one is open and they have to constantly work off script, that's not sustainable unless you're Patrick Mahomes.

I'm sort of stunned at how bad Smith-Schuster has been. Honestly. 1-of-5 targeting him yesterday, which has been a trend so far through four games. Parker is massively inconsistent, and Bourne is obviously drawing the extra attention as a result and seeing relatively few targets. Smith-Schuster is single-handedly hampering this group, and I don't know how they overcome that.
Totally agree. Giving Meyers's money to Juju looks like a real blunder now and I wouldn't have predicted that in the summer.

What choice do they have
Worst QB room in NFL

Bill built that room

Judon and Gonzo done for the season - maybe your two best players right there. Top four corners out. Constant OL injuries/musicial chairs. This is a 4-5 win team at best. Time to tank and hope to find a franchise QB. Fine if they lose the rest of the games to make that happen. And hire a real GM to run the offseason/draft. The Patriots are the laughing stock of the NFL.

How about tank and get a WR? And then your franchise QB will emerge.

Loved Mac in his rookie year, but I truly believe that last year broke him. Mentally, he can't hack it. And he didn't have plus (or even average) physical tools to begin with.

The Jets have a worse room.
The Bears have a worse room.
The Cardinals have a worse room.
Etc.
Rodgers
Murray + Dobbs with his 99 passer rating
And what do you know, Fields just passed 1st round talent Mac in passer rating.....87 vs 80

Honestly.. I'm not surprised by anything with this team anymore.
Yep... Myles Away & Shaun Wade do not ****ing DESERVE to be in the building of ANY team considered a legit Contender.
The Spaceman's simply NOT an NFL player; and Wade's the defensive version of Corky: a ****ing ****y.
The team signed 2 JAG CBs.. at this point borders is going to have to play by default. Now having jon Jones back certainly helps.. but he's nursing an ankle injury and on the other side of 30. Myles away and Sean Wade-a- minute are at this point special teams only players IMO.

Who knows when Jack will be back hamstrings can be season ending. Just we are in the worst case scenario right now.. a flawed team decimated by injury from key players.

Olave, adams and Diggs I'm sure are salivating over this secondary right now.

I'll say something else yesterday was the worst loss in BB history.. I'm no so sure.. the Bills are up in 2 weeks!!!

Corky is indeed a bad QB; but at the same time Bill MUST be told to resign his GM duties on Black Monday.
I know this much ... we have NO talent at the WR position.. every team in our own division for God sakes has one except us!

Imagine Mac with Garrett Wilson ,Hill, Waddle or Diggs!!

I understand what you're saying.. don't know if it's a Character issue or he just isn't bought in..

He really just isn’t that good tbh. At best hes devante parker with a **** attitude. The Steelers offense actually improved a bit last year after trading him away for no players but the draft pick in return, addition by subtraction.

And there were rumors we wanted him, so thank God we at least dodged that bullet

A 5 win season ensures one of the following:

•generational QB prospect Caleb Williams
•generational WR prospect Marvin Harrison Jr.
•franchise QB prospect Drake Maye
•blue chip OT prospect Olu Fashanu
•blue chip TE prospect Brock Bowers

As we await the Gonzalez news what benefits the team more longterm playing Douglas, Boutte, etc. & winning 5 games or playing the vets and scratching and clawing to 6-7 wins?
