Thornton has to make the team to go to IR. That means him and the other two above plus Douglas Parker juju and Bourne are all going to make the team? 7 wr on the 53 to start is a lot

I hear you, but find a 2.6M$ on the market atm who can play CB, S, slot CB, and ST. I think BB loves Bryant and he’d « what do you know about football ? » all of pats fans nation if given truth serum.

If the team wants to reduce his compensation, then they need to cut Bryant, and allow him to try to find a team that will pay him more than we will.

With MonTy back to practice, I think he's the preferred 3rd RB (even though he may be more of a WR)
He provides a very needed flex skill-set that provides backup at RB and slot WR.
But it puts Strong on the bubble, and Harris & JJ a definite cut - both to PS.

If we look at it as an overall skill position group of 12 spots:
9 Locks - KB, JSS, Parker, Douglas, Henry, Gesicki, Rham, Zeke, MonTy
Pick 3 - TT, Boutte, Strong, Sokol/Firkser, Harris, Cunningham (in QB3 option)

Yes but I was adding Cunningham as he was mentioned. But he could be a 3rd QB which would make it 6. Which is likely what will happen.

1) One of the Pick 3 that gets cut will likely be added when Thorton goes on IR the day after the cutdown to 53.

I think one thing became clear in GB - MC16 is not ready to play WR this year. If they decide to keep him on the 53 as the QB3, and be the emergency QB inactive each week, that makes most sense.

Incorrect. The new rule allows an emergency 3rd QB to not count against the 46 active players, and only be activated if proven injury occurs to the first 2.

46 is the starting number for the active roster.

A team can add one more if that player is an OL.

A team can also designate a 3rd QB who (as the OL) doesn't count against the 46. And yes, this player can only play if both other QB are injured and knocked out of the game.

Until I see it with my own two eyes, I'm still going with Carl's Junior Davis and The Big Guy.

Ameer Speed... I don't think anyone's claiming Isaiah Bolden now; and I still think they'll try to sneak Cunningham through waivers, especially if he doesn't play much vs the Titties.

It's more about the second reason - Bill liking him - because Myles Away doesn't play any of those other positions mentioned particularly well.

Myles Bryant is not a starter at any position, which has been part of the problem because he's played too much.

More is less.

But Bryant is an adequate backup at all those positions.

And if they're going to carry less special teams players based on Helig and Mitchelle being cut so early, then maybe Bryant should (cringe at the thought) stick.

I hear you; though I still prefer to keep Ameer Speed's potential over somebody like Bryant or especially Bedsore.
