Nope. They may have signed Flowers for depth in any case - in other words, your reasoning may be right. Or they might have gone in a different direction, but if Uche's situation is more fluid, it might have edged their hand. Neither of these is unreasonable.If the second sentence is true the first is also.
I'm really saying that it's possible they wanted more depth in case the situation with Uche fell apart.Are you really saying the Patriots figured out that Uche won’t be returning so their plan is to sign a 30-ish player who has played 7,7,4 games the last 3 years and that takes care of next year?
