How to make your QB happy - turn a likely interception into a reception:
Nice catch by him. Definitely looks like a Mac type of a throw lol.

I've been following the Patriots since the Plunkett-to-Vataha days, and have been reading, message boards, going to games/SBs!!! and following ever more closely in the BB era. I am gobsmacked by the reports I'm seeing here. When have we ever seen a BB team talking about a potential FA like this? optimistic they can sign him?
Man, either BB (or BOB) really want this guy, or Kraft is insisting on them making some kind of splash right now...or maybe all of those things.
Just really surprised.

I know you have raging wood for pretty much any WR, but I am not sure this guy is the second coming of Randy Moss. I doubt very much the rest of the division is going to quake in their boots. I will be happy if he signs here, and even more happy if he's still a Dude.
Yeah, all things being equal I want him here, he makes the team better this year. But if he was still the kind of player that would produce that kind of reaction in our rivals, then those rivals would be pushing harder to sign him themselves. There aren't many teams in the AFC that are so incredibly stocked at WR that they wouldn't want Hopkins, IF he was still unquestionably elite.
Still not getting the JWilliams love. Someone please explain the difference between him and IWynn, except the fact Wynn went about 20 picks later and has been more effective as a LT.Mere words.
If all of their OLmen emerge from TC healthy, then the Bengals will have no problem whatsoever dealing Williams, who would be their Worst starter, especially at RT.
Shouldnt your implied probability add to 100%? Yours adds to about 120%.....
No, the ball was traveling with too much velocity to have been thrown by Mac.Nice catch by him. Definitely looks like a Mac type of a throw lol.
I believe the injuries from the WRs aren't serious they were soft tissue related and were kept out for precautions. With camp next month it's likely a wise decision. As these guys will be going hard in camp! As you perfectly stated the need for hop is definitely and upgrade! The fact that their WRs on the roster are already dealing with so many injuries (Juju, Thornton, Boutte) and others are just injuries waiting to happen (Parker), it makes even more sense to get Hopkins. He's not only an instant upgrade to the top of the unit, but he's also a warm body in a room lacking them.
D hop commands attention.. no matter what his reputation alone would have DC have to deal with him.. great for us!Minus D-Hop yes With D-Hop heck no!
While I completely agree with Billy OB and Hopkins... as a blanket statement for NFL WRs I don't think you could be more wrong lol...For whatever reason, the WR position has a very high aptitude to be petty divas.yup, what i said in another thread is that they aren't little highschool divas... they're grown men and professionals being paid a lot of money, and they both want to win

Feels like a very do-able deal to me.Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer appeared on NBC Sports Boston and said he’d expect Hopkins to sign for somewhere between $8 and $10 million in base salary with incentives that will “get him closer to the number he was originally scheduled to make.” Hopkins was originally set to make over $19 million this season before getting cut by the Arizona Cardinals.
Setting the all time NCAA accuracy record at Alabama doesn't mean that he can throw accurately in the NFL. Any good QB would have set records at Alabama with those receivers. There are a lot of legitimate criticisms of Mac's game that he needs to show he can improve. Technical throwing accuracy is not one of them.
