1) I do NOT think that Andrews is so bad a pick that he will be the FIRST ever Belichick 4th rounder no to make the 53.
Foxboro flu is still a thing
2) There are Mafi, Hines and Russey fighting for one spot, presuming that everyone stays healthy. The others will be on the Practice Squad.
Sow isn’t playing T based on one OTA with Brown missing.
3) I still have Bryant as Player 53, a #5 or #6 CB and a backup punt returner. I see several bench-sitters would be less valuable,
I think Bolden replaces Myles at CB but could go either way. I also think the backup PR might be Douglas.
4) I must say that I haven't clue what you all see in Harris, and why you think that he is more valuable as a #4 RB than Montgomery.
I like Montgomery and think he looks the part as a 3rd down back but I hate telegraphing what we’re going to run. I think I’d rather have Robinson out there…he can run and catch.

I do not see anything in Harris. I like Robinson if healthy like WTF!. Having said that, the reporters did say that Harris was RB #2 at last Wednesday's OTA behind Stevenson (who spent time rehabbing I understand). Strong, Robinson, and Montgomery were not #2 at least to start OTAs.

Ideally I'd love to see this, I think it brings the most versatility on both sides of the ball.

Hoping on defense we see a good amount of packages with a bear/sink front 7 look of :
Keoin 3 tech, Godchaux- 0 tech, Barmore 3 tech, Uche & Judon in a 5 or 9 tech, with Bentley and Mapu.

7 WR's is high, but would like to see both rookies make the team and contribute. If I had to dwindle it to 6 it'd be one of: Boutte, Parker, or Bourne.

QB (2) M.Jones, B.Zappe

RB (4) R.Stevenson, J.Robinson, P.Strong, Ty Montgomery

WR (7) J.Smith-Schuster,T.Thornton K.Bourne, D.Parker, M.Slater, Douglass, Boutte

TE (3) H.Henry, M.Gesicki, J.Lumpkin

C (2) D.Andrews, J.Andrews
G (4) M.Onwenu, C.Strange, S.Sow, A.Mafi
T (3) T.Brown, R.Reiff, C.Anderson

DE (3) K.White, C.Barmore,D.Wise
DT (3) D.Godchaux, C.Davis, L.Guy

OLB (4) M.Judon, J.Uche, M.Mapu A.Jennings
ILB (4) J.Bentley, J.Tavai, M.Wilson, C.Board

CB (5) C.Gonzalez, Jo.Jones, Ja.Jones, M.Jones, I.Bolden
SS (2) K.Dugger, A.Phillips
FS (3) J.Mills, J.Peppers, B.Schooler

K (1) C.Ryland
P (1) B.Baringer
LS (1) J.Cordona

I don't think that Belichick will count on a punt returner who has never returned punts.
I'm also fine with Bolden over Bryant at CB, or not.

I see Montgomery as our 3rd back.

I suppose Harris could beat out Strong and Robinson as the #2 back.

Myles Bryant was a punt returner who never returned punts last year

I see Montgomery unemployed.

OFFENSE (you have 25) I could see 24, or a 10th OT instead of the 7th WR as the 25th)
1) I see Firkser over Lumpkin.
2) I think 5 WR's is more likely than 7, with the new TE oriented OC. With you, I'd like to see a rookie on the 53. Douglass seems more likely than Boute, but things happen in camp and the pre-season. So, I guess 6 WR's seems right.

DEFENSE (you have 24)
I like your defensive choices. I might choose Ekuale or Bryant, but your choice are fine.

SPECIAL TEAMS (you have 3) I would add a STer
Speed is a top Ster

From Mike Reiss today:

"Meanwhile, new OL coach Adrian Klemm has a young group with some promising physical traits to develop, which on Wednesday was comprised of left tackle Andrew Stueber (2022 seventh-round pick), left guard Atonio Mafi (2023 fifth round), center Kody Russey (2022 undrafted free agent), right guard Jake Andrews (2023 fourth round) and right tackle Sidy Sow (2023 fourth round)."

So Jake Andrews replaces Onwenu? Haha. I don't think so but he could. I guessed Mafi and you guessed Sow. This early in camp J Andrews has no idea how to call offensive line shifts, so it is D Andrews and Russey. That does not mean it will not change as J Andrews learns the calls through camp this Summer. Note that Hines is not in the lineup which is not a good early sign for Hines. Lots and lots of decisions to make on the OL.
was Hines present?

was Hines present?

I didn't check. You might be right. I didn't even think about him not being there since it is his 2nd season and he hasn't played in 7+ months (any injury is healed).

Thought Andrew Stueber was a RT type interesting.

Stubby has no physical traits whatsoever worth developing, Mike; and I'd rather keep Chasin' 'Hinds & his Center experience ahead of Fat Tony & his Eating experience.

1) I agree that he'll make the 53... But he was still a bad pick where he was taken. There were more highly-regarded prospects at his own position still available there, plus the whole needing an OT thingy...

2) Agreed; Double-S & the aforementioned Andrews are locks if healthy.

3) I don't have Spaceman as even Player #73... He's a #9-10 CB and Double-D is our new backup PR.

4) Kevin Harris is our new #2 Lead/Power Back now that the Bad Omen has exorcised himself from here; and James Robinson & Pierre Strong will share 3rd-Down Back duties... Monty is competing with Kid Dyno-Might-Not for the #5 spot, if they carry 5 at all - and I MUCH prefer to see Friskher on the 53 than either the has-been or the never-was.

I don't think that Belichick will count on a punt returner who has never returned punts.

You just described - until last season - Myles of Space himself.

Thanks. Who is Mike?

Reiss. I was addressing him through the quote. Sorry if it came out as snarky.

I wish it had been Stubby at RT and Double-S at Left Tackle, that's more realistic.

Not snarky.

Yes, I expected the opposite too - @Real fan 02 noted the same - not sure why the flip flop unless it is something like Sow has a real chance to play at RT, and Stueber does not have a real chance of playing anywhere, so might as well have Sow train where he is envisioned.

Starting to become glaring that we still don't know who is going to play where on the line.. I'm sure in camp BOB and AK will have that all sorted however as of today I can't say beyond Andrew's and ownenu who will play where.

Whatever the case we just need sound O line play.. that's everything to waht we want to be offensively. Line play has to be among the NFLs best. This group has that potential, and capability. If we can get, a big IF a rejuvenated, motivated brown then LT should be solidify. I'm intrigued by sow!
