Makes sense to bring him in. You need to make sure you know what you would be passing on at 14. Didn't they bring Richardson in too a few weeks ago? The quickest way to improve this team is finding a significant upgrade at QB. If they think Levis is that then they have to take him. I question whether they would though.

I have no idea what value Mac has around the league. I wouldn't trade a 1st for him. Maybe you could a 2024 2nd that could turn into a 1st under certain conditions but even that feels ambitious.

But the Pats wouldn’t be kicking the tires on Levis if they weren’t intrigued.

They’ve kicked the tires on a multitude of prospects over the years. Hard to say without being a fly on the wall what their interest is.

But to only be able to visit 30 prospects choosing him and Richardson is intriguing.
That means there is something else they wanted to see that they couldn’t see on film.
If it was just to update the competitive Rolodex to me that was a waste of a visit.
I’d rather make sure to hit on my targets and vet them thoroughly as opposed to learning how Levis and Richardson do on a chalkboard because with one or two training camps that will drastically improve.

These guys want Mac traded for a bag of magic beans so bad they can taste it. I really don't get it. They have an NFL QB with a decent resume under financial control with his rookie deal, but since he didn't morph into TFB 2.0 last year, they need to launch him.

Do you think he's so steadfast in his unbending ways that he'd give the guy away? Rhetorical. My comment is directed at guys like you who would rather be right so you can say "HA! I TOLD YOU GUYS!" here in the forum than you would have the guy succeed and, as a result, have the team win. I have made the point before:
