Goodbye Isaiah Wynn...Glad to see you go

I was so excited when the Pats drafted him. I am a huge UGA fan and loved his game coming out of college. I really thought that the Pats got the top OL coming out of college that year along with a great RB in Michel. Shows why no one hires me to be a scout. I am one of the people who can be accused of supporting Wynn even when all evidence said he was a bust. I can honestly say now, that yes, Wynn was a bust. He might go elsewhere and become a decent (or better) player, but even if that happens, his tenure with the Pats has to be considered a bust. Injured or not, clown show offense or not, etc. Wynn's time with the Pats sucked.

Don't sell yourself short, you'd be at least talented enough to scout for the Pats.

It’s a crapshoot. Some players develop some don’t and it’s not easily predictable because there are dozens of variables that go into it.

Not in this case: the dude was Never cut-out to be a starting-caliber Left Tackle for a legit contender… He simply didn’t possess the requisite physical attributes necessary for the position; he possessed some of the athletic attributes, but he had Left Guard written all over him from Day One of the draft process.

word is the Pats are set to pick up THIS player from the Steelers to replace Wynn....on the plus side, he, Riley Reiff, has much much LONGER arms....

I do think until last year Wynn was an average LT and the whole seemingly insane switching tackles just ****ed both tackles completely but Wynn is now a lost cause. I will never understand why they were switched or the refusal to switch them back when it was obvious it wasn't working

It really is that simple.

He couldn’t play inside. Not consistent enough. Mess up at G and the play is over. Ironically, he was better on the island when he healthy because he was quick enough to handle an edge one on one in space. No way he handles the trash inside.

He had the ability, but I’m guessing the right attitude wasn’t there.
