This has an opening post with good commentary and information, which we definitely recommend reading.

Ahmed - You've been on this board for ages. I would think that, by now, you'd understand how a bad O-line affects the rest of the Offense. Not to mention the atrocious play-calling by Patricia. If you don't think that affected both Henry and Thornton, then so be it. Just says that you don't understand the game half as well as you'd believe.
We all know Patricia sucks but it can't be the excuse for everything. Same with the o-line.

Henry wasn't targeted enough by the quarterback. Henry had the requisite snaps, he didn't get the targets. Mac needs to be held accountable in part for that. Overall Mac's field vision and processing was an issue this season.

Thornton was a major disappointment. He got the reps, and reasonable targets, but his catch% was a very poor 48.9%. Mac missed him on a few deep balls but Thornton doesn't have the 50/50 potential of Parker. Even Agholor made a great grab on a 50/50 ball against Pittsburgh. Patricia isn't Thornton's personal trainer too. Tyquan needs to bulk up or he's not going to be able to compete with NFL DBs.

Id trade Brown actually. Hes just not PTP. Mac/QB needs a fighter there not a lazy wannabe. Not good for Cole's development either.
Time to move on.

He should give decent return pick + cap : his contract is appealing to buyers in a desert OT market.

Move Onwenu to RT, Hines looked promising at RG, signing somebody like Dilliard for LT shouldn't break the bank, then see what Draft offers (dont see plug and play LT esp for NE in the Draft - maybe @BaconGrundleCandy is more optimistic : )
Sign mcglinchey from SF as UFA for LT

Brown has been a problem when not coached by Scar for his entire career. The team needs Bruce Armstrong 2.0 on the field and in the locker room.

Hines has the same power
but has never played a single snap in a game so we don't know if he can be really a starter for us. and we can't rely only on Hines for the RG spot if we move onwenu. some iol veteran for RG would be necessary in this scenario,´or in any other scenario as well because our back ups this season were worth nothing

Posted elsewhere, but I'll repeat it here:

Bill Belichick made a point of telling us all that the Patriots were #27 in cash outlay over the last 3 seasons. I look forward to all the people here calling him out for bringing up something that doesn't matter, given that such has been the position of so many around here when other posters have talked about cash payout v. cap spending in the past.

We dont know but they know. We didn't know about Onwenu either until we did.

I feel good about Hines but another couple of competent guards in FA should not be a problem with the $ they have.
Or they can draft another..
Bottom line : getting G is not a problem

Wonder if the Pats take a look at Da’ron Payne, would be a great paring with Barmore.
payne, bradberry and edmunds are the top free agents i would target for the defense. I think the defense would be set with these additions and a FS
Focus on offense in the draft

What teams did the Patriots beat that:

Were good teams
Had good QBs actually playing
AND.....
Were healthy

?
I mean come on. How many teams A) qualify here and B) Play against teams who qualify here and C) Win against teams who qualify here?

Irrelevant post since they spent to the cap. In context cash outlay is important to ownership/cash flow.

Awful post. Keep it in the Brady forum.

Tomlin never had a losing season in 16 years with Pittsburgh. Just saying. Bill had two in the last 3 years

This just screams ‘technicality’. tomlin has gone 8-8 3 times (2 of those with a hof qb), while bb has gone 8-9 and 7-9 with cam and mac. is that extra win that important?

Am I the only one that finds this pic funny?

It's like he sat on an upside-down barstool

Tomlin has one SB. I would rather be a giants fan with their two SBs and losing seasons than be a Pitt fans with one SB in a long stretch full of star players (I know Cowher also won one).

Don’t look now, but Andy Reid is 6 years younger than BB and 5th in NFL history with 266 total coaching wins (plus whatever happens this playoff season). With Mahomes and the longer schedule, he actually has a chance to pass BB even if BB passes Shula for most coaching wins. I didn’t realize just how high up he was on the list until earlier today. He gets laughed at for his clock management, but he’e been very good overall.
I Will go out on a limb and say « Reid isn’t winning 7 SBs as HC ». BB needn’t fret.
