We're really going to chisel a punter out of the money we overpaid him? I'm sure a stunt like this will help us reel in players in free agency.

The dude who just broke one of the longest-held records in the History of professional football went UNDRAFTED.

When the owner of the site plans on implementing changes to the site to deal with this crap, yes there is an issue. This is supposed to be a fan site. Not a site for fans and a small minority to post over and over the team sucks, no matter how well they do.

A person in charge overreacting to a small, vocal, pus.sified minority is hardly proof of a problem. It is a common phenomenon nowadays.

People would rather believe BB is the mean guy than the player sucking, not taking care of himself, ignoring team guidance and hurt for the last 2 years and not earning his money.

It’s both.

There are many types of fans, from negative nancies to blind homers and everything in between. You can find these fans on every single one of the other 31 teams' forums. This is not unique to Patsfans. The fact of the matter is that after 3 years, this team isn't any closer to being a contender than they were in 2019.

The owner of the site already implemented changes to the site to deal with the ubber sensitive posters that get triggered by even the smallest criticism of the FO, coaches a/o players. He spent a lot of time getting the "MUTE" feature to work. You know what, it works. I've used it. Many other posters have used it. I think it's more telling that posters like you refuse to use it but rather come here and berate other posters over them not being "rEaL pAtS fAnS," or worse constantly whining at Ian over their feelings being hurt. If you can't handle adult conversation mute them. If you refuse to mute them, then that's on you bro.

The worse thing that can happen is for more censorship and targeting of posters by the mods to increase, to make this a "Happy" place. If that's what ya'll want this place to become, good luck with that.

Its not a question of hate. BB has done a poor job this year as both gm and coach and it is perfectly OK to respectfully call him out on that. He said himself, hold him accountable. He is getting paid 20 million per year…..he should be called out
Yep, it's fair to call him out for putting together a poor coaching staff, but this idea that he's an outlier on his treatment of players IMO is off base. Lots of players end up leaving town unhappy in every NFL city. For every player that is pissed at Bill, there's plenty more that will say that he is responsible for them having extremely successful NFL careers.

Some of us bounce all over that spectrum on a per play basis

Bingo.

And it took them all many years if not decades to earn the respect of their players… This clown car of coaches is the least experienced, most unqualified (i.e.: the Worst) in the Entire league.
Do you have a specific problem with the job Pellegrino is doing with our CBs?

Because our guys seem to be performing pretty well, from the 2 rookies, to the guy coming back from a year long injury, to the vet who is playing better than he ever has in his career. We still need another body or two there but it's pretty decent so far. Not to mention the guy that was a Pro Bowler last year but left in FA and had a horrid season.

That was Then (with Brady). This is Now (without him).

Or does that not tell you anything? Nope? Nevermind then, carry on…
love you Captain but don't agree with you here, its not all Brady (a major part is, but as Gisele said " My husband can't throw and catch the ball at the same time" (or cover in D#)

where do agree with you is that today the Pats are a mess and it starts from top bottom with the decisions BB took in offseason to bring in the losers back from Detroit and New York and gave them tasks they are not able to handle

The Bailey situation is confusing. The stories in the media say that the team suspended him for refusing to play when he was healthy, the agent claims the player wanted to play and was held out by the team. Knowing that there is a grievance process, I can't imagine the team would pick a fight that they don't think they can win.
You're joking, right? The team has nothing to lose in this fight. The worst thing that could happen from the grievance is that they have to do what they already contractually are obligated to do.

A person in charge overreacting to a small, vocal, pus.sified minority is hardly proof of a problem. It is a common phenomenon nowadays.
Yeah, let's go with what you and others are suggesting, a large set of toxic a-holes posting over and over how the team sucks, that'll make for a really successful site. I'm sure Ian will be happy to work nights and weekends so you have a place to vent your frustrations, even after you chase away all the rest of the people who visit the site.

A large set, or is it just a few?

I find the negative ones humorous even while disagreeing with them. Can only speak for myself. If anyone gets "chased away" that says more about them. Soft.

Ok. Good luck embracing sensitivity.
And good luck living in your world surrounded by nothing but 'hard' people.
Must be a real joy.
How long you in for?

I surround myself with all sorts of people. Doesn't make me hard, but I'm not so soft that I must have everyone spouting the same positivity.

Just because I choose not to be over-sensitive does not make me hard. It just makes me not a whiny pus.sy.

How would you know, you say it's OK that soft people are chased away, that leaves just the hard people.

Yep, you are a true paragon of open-mindedness and tolerance.

I don't chase anyone away. Those few who need a safe space? Oh well.

Just because the pansies are so vocal with their victimized wailing doesn't mean there are many of you.

But your open-mindedness and tolerance comment is ironic since I am the one who would like every viewpoint voiced here. I enjoy it. You, on the other hand, want Ian to create A little romper room. How tolerant of you.

That's your interpretation.

Mine is that you want Ian to host a toxic waste dump.

We can tell from all the whiners above including yourself that it's not working out well for you.

My $0.02: If this site ever goes away, it'll be because azzholes like you make Ian decide it's just not worth it any more.
