Official 2022 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

Then it should have been no sweat to start at the 37 yard line.

Also, the Bucs D has shown that it can't play great for the full 4 quarters. They start to break down in the 2nd half at some point, usually against the run. Which they did in the Browns game and most of the other games.
Do you have faith in the O to get 2 yards?
It's been really bad with 17 points the average.

So, no possibility as a Jete?
I kid.

They’re actually a pretty good destination top 10 oline, Moore, Davis, Wilson at WR, two good TE, Hall who looked elite and a top 5 defense

Didn’t someone say his oldest son goes to school in the area

Even though the Bucs have an all time bad run game, they still average over 2 yards per run. So if run they'll get the 2 yards more than 50% of the time. If a pass, Brady's completion rate is about 67%. If they get that 2 yards. A decent field goal opportunity is almost a given.

Put it this way, switch Bowles with BB, McVay, Reid, heck virtually any other NFL coach. What they would do is go for it, the downside risk is a manageable 12 yards.

Setting aside the fact that the team average is 3.3 yards per run, that's not how averages work.

Ok. I guess technically it would be the mean then.

They sure have a lot of runs that are 2 yards and less especially on 3rd or 4th down.

The other possibility is Brady doesn't think he can assert himself due to possible blowback from the hyper sensitive media.

"White privileged male undermining his African American superior". It's a no win situation for Brady
Yeah, the racists would have a lot to say. Lebron could give his standard speech to demonize America.

I’m sorry but at this point anyone still in denial about Belichick’s legacy taking a hit in the post Brady era is really naive.
Yeah. This is ugly. He has ruined Mac.

Mac isn't ruined, but it's obvious Matt Patricia has no business running that offense.

Kraft needs to tell Bill to either get a real OC or you're fired

Tampa needs to keep leftwhich and Mr. Put a safety on Kupp away from press conference this is two days in a row they embarrassed the franchise with there answers

Like, does Bill’s legacy as a master tactician drawing up Xs and Os take a hit? It probably shouldn’t. The man is legitimately a football savant. But that’s not all there is to coaching. And more than that, this is what happens when one man knowingly takes ownership of the entire football operation. Coach, GM, and all the decisions he personally made to fill out his staff. There’s nowhere to hide here, he‘s been exposed.

I think he still has the same mind but I think his problem is he wants to coach with guys he wants to hang out with, his son, fat Matt and Joe Judge, instead of coaching with the best guys for the job.

That's the problem, nothing can justify fat Matt running the offense. He was a mediocre DC, horrible HC and a train wreck at OC. If Bill plans on keeping Patricia as OC next season then Kraft has to replace BB

I think what it does is draw a clear designation as Bill as a defensive savant and Brady as the offensive savant. That is why it was such a perfect pairing. Best defensive mind in football coupled with the best QB mind to ever play the game. It is amazing they didn't win more. If not for injuries during several championship caliber seasons, they would have.

It's not just the post Brady era but the pre Brady era also. Anyone who isn't being blinded by Bill's cheeks can see that. :)

I remember thinking the Bucs should've signed Cordarelle Patterson in the off-season. He'd improve their running game dramatically (and special teams).

Still don't see anyone in the conference that the Bucs can't beat in the playoffs.

Bucs stink dude.
I love TB as much as anybody but they're a bad football team right now.

Still time to figure it out. Thankfully the rest of the division isn't good either. Just have to get in and anything can happen.
