Yes by all means let's get rid of the coach that has built and rebuilt the roster 3 times over the past 20 years and has brought us success beyond our wildest dreams.
And while we are at it, let's get rid of the owner who has invested and reinvested into a world class stadium and organization. We were better off before all that when the Patriots were the laughingstock of all of sports and played in a facility that most high schools wouldn't like.
Who's talking about getting rid of Bob Kraft (or Jonathan who's been running the show for the most part for a while now)?

Kraft should already be on the phone with the Saints to see if Mac and a third would net him Sean Payton.
Sure. Sean 'I Underperformed for 16 Years With a HOF QB' Payton. Why not?

Belichick the GM should be fired for someone else.

Belichick the coach should stay assuming he is okay with that. At his age, maybe he should have someone else dealing with roster building with him giving some input but not running Ike show

Starting Mac and messing with a winning streak was dumb. It probably cost them the game.

They also clearly got out coached last night. How do you play the Bears and not put a shadow on Fields until the second half because he was burning you… that’s literally the entirety of his game. He’s Lamar Jackson lite. You do that from the opening play until the end of the game.

Giving up on the run was stupid, the game wasn’t out of hand to start the second half. Don’t change who you are just because the Bears are putting pressure on you to score. Get Zappe under center and play your game.

Patricia’s two minute offense of just having Zappe stand back in shotgun like a statue was also dumb. Move the entire pocket, roll Zappe around and give him throwing lanes. For cripessakes watch some Drew Brees film and look what Sean Payton did with a QB an inch shorter than Zappe.

It was one game, BB isn’t and shouldn’t be on notice… that’s just silly. But there’s no doubt they have to commit to Zappe and play much smarter. They also have to get healthy, the D missed Barmore and Duggar a lot last night, get your stars healthy.
You nailed it, thank you.

Patriots fail to commit to the run, they lose.

They put ANY quarterback in a bad situation.

Blame the players for not making the tackles. Justin Fields also deserves credit for breaking tackles and pulling a few Houdini moves that were game altering plays. Zappe/Mac controversy is the silly soap opera-ish annoying bullsiht that drives me crazy about sports analysis. Just enjoy the entertainment of the game and be happy you aren't having to avoid being crushed by 300 lb. DLinemen. As frustrating as that game was, I still enjoyed watching my team play and having a nice evening hanging with friends. Let's get 'em on Sunday

Do you think starting Mac last night was a bad move?
I don't know if it was a bad move or not. What I do know is Bill knows a lot more about what to do with Mac Jones today than he did yesterday. As a coach Bill needs to know if Mac is THE GUY sooner than later.

How many times did TB12 play less than 100% or dealing with some major adversity and still perform? A QB needs to do that more than any other position. They need mental and physical toughness. They need their teammates to play hard for them. They need to manage the game and win.

I didn't see any of those qualities from Mac last night. Zappe gave them a spark but he started playing out of his comfort zone and was exposed.

Why did Mac **** the bed? Was it due to injury? Is he pressing? Has he regressed? Does he have a mental block? Is he not 100% all-in on the new offense? Is it coaching (or lack thereof)?

It's disturbing how much he sucks now.

Maybe there is just enough tape on Mac and the reality is Mac isn't that good? Also with Zappe. I have a feeling if we don't fumble the football we likely score again on that drive and don't give momentum back.

Turnovers are the #1 reason why teams lose games. Period.

Mac has turned the ball over 7 times in 4 games. Unacceptable.

So, do the 3 that Zappe committed in less than 3 quarters count?

To me, it seemed like Mac was running a lot because he was afraid of putting the ball in tight coverage (because he was knew he was on thin ice with the INTs. Then he was pressured and threw the ball into tight coverage and gave up the INT. I don't know if it's Zappe or what, but Mac's mind isn't in the right place.

ESPN TOP 10 plays:

Zappe pass to Parker
Mac INT throw

What? Lol

If anyone else indulges hot-take psyche/body language/actual language analysis, watch each of the QBs' respective press conferences and tell me who you'd feel more confident leading your team.

I can't help but notice the stark difference in their approaches. Zappe seems more serious, straightforward, direct. Jones seems more circumspect, rehearsed, cautious. I certainly feel a different way listening to each of them speak.

They were both evasive which is what they're taught to do, so whatever. But it sure sounded to me like Mac kept saying he's had to do this since HS, college, pop warner; waiting for his turn & try to get better to prove himself.

That sure doesn't sound like a dude that is confident he's got the QB1 role locked up.

LET'S FOCUS
Why were the patriots shut out in the 2nd half? Surely, Zappe the Great should have given us something, even while the Defense was losing the game with defense against the run.

It's hilarious that Bill still hasn't named a starter for the Jets game. He'll probably do the exact same thing and wait until game time.
