OT: Bills interested in McCaffrey?

The Bills have spent two third round picks and a second round pick on running backs in the last 4 years. That would be a decent amount of draft capital to burn just to burn more draft capital and pay a guy a fortune at the same position. If they think CMC puts them over the top then obviously go for it but his contract and his injury history should make any team think twice.

The man is Explosive but the last two years yikes.

It would be ******ed for them to trade for him or any RB. I highly doubt that happens.

Didn't they draft Cook to be a pass catching RB? Looks like they're slowly bringing him along. Besides all they do is kill teams passing the ball anyway.

An that's why we are a little worried imagine a healthy McCaffrey in their backfield. I cannot think of a D that would be able to account for him and their other skilled players scary indeed.

Bills have been picking in the 1st round for 18, 19 seasons consecutively.. all thier players should be good!!! As for patriots I try to enjoy our draft picks that do pan out becuase they most likely will not see a 2nd contract.. Stevenson, jack Jones, Marcus Jones, strange, all these picks have been hits!! Unless it's patriots team friendly deals they won't be retained.. enjoy them while they are here!

That's not always true. It's true for a lot of Patriot drafted players, but not 100% of them.

All you have to do is go back and look at the history.. it's alot of truth in it. The patriots even said they like to maximize whatever they can get out a drafted player in thier first 4 years.. the likelihood of thier drafted players to get that second contract is rare.. not saying it doesn't happen just saying it's not often.. look at the games they played with Vince when his contract was up.. in 09

Lol is this supposed to be a good thing?

In the same way it was (is?) with Mahomes and Hill/Kelce when their defense cost them a couple titles?

I'm not going to argue that a top 5 QB doesn't almost always have their team "in the conversation", but you still need a solid rest of said team to really be a true contender for a Super Bowl title year after year.

My question long term is how many of those high round picks are coming up on being "on the market"? That, more than anything, will determine their ability to "keep the band together."
I didn't say they weren't solid. They are solid. The point is that they don't have stars and can afford to lose these players. Which of these guys is irreplaceable?

KC looks good too, BTW.

Yeah, they got a guy who never plays (Moss), a guy who is less than mediocre (Singletary), and a rookie (Cook) who the tuned-in radio guys are referring to as a probable bust.

McDermott is 0-3 finding his RB.

I hope the Bills give up top picks for CMC to only play 7 games a season.

CMC has a much higher chance of staying healthy on the Bills.

Bills only run like 10 times per game.

If Buff was smart if they got run CMC he wouldn’t see the field til the AFC Championship or Super Bowl.

Saw a rumor earlier that the Pats called inquiring about DJ Moore... And, Lil'Jordan got cut today...

You think the panthers would take that 3rd rounder back?

Patriots spent two 3rd round picks on TE’s then a year later allocated $56.25 million guaranteed on two TE’s in free agency.

Sometimes, if you’re looking to find a premium player at an important position, you pony up
