We are on to Miami: Official week 1 pregame thread

Wynn has no business at LT.

Stay at RT.

It seems like Miami wants to throw deep this season.

Some of the video that I watched had Tua rolling away from pressure to buy time on the reception.
Well, we'll see how well Tua throws deep. He's had some of the lowest deep attempts and had Parker that was a contested catch machine.

Whens Hurricane season start?

Florida drivers should be in prison.
Florida is kind of fun to drive in. It's a little like the wild west. I had fun driving in Dominican Republic too. You can pass cops on double yellow lines, going over the speed limit and they don't give a f*ck. Also, red lights are more of a suggestion than an actual rule.

Of course you do. You’re a terrible fan base. Vile, wretched, unappreciative, ignorant, etc.
Huge swathes of you were actively rooting for epic failure on his part the moment Billy ran him out the door. Go be miserable. I’m glad it’s about to get cold AF up there.
So root for Brady over the Pats? Whether he wins or loses now, I don't give a f*ck. I want the Pats to win.

If he can't go, we can either switch Onwenu to RT or have Herron(ugh) or Cajuste (depending on injury) play there.
Going by the preseason, it would likely be Cajuste.

He's got an injury thing going on. Didn't practice end of the week. We'll see when the injury report comes out today, but that throws another wrench into things.

Bart Scott chimes in...

Bart Scott always has an axe to grind. I don't really care what he has to say about anytihng

It’s not a desperation move. It’s just pointless. An extra couple of days won’t get you accustomed to the heat and humidity down there.

I feel pretty good about this game going in. My biggest concern is the Patriots ability to defend the run and RPO. Do people think this year's team is better or worse equipped to defend those plays than last year's team?

The faster linebackers should help against the RPO since they can more quickly change directions to play the run or the pass. The faster linebackers are also vital based on the outside running system the Dolphins new coach brought to Miami. Still, given last years' results defending the run game I'm nervous about that aspect of the game.

Odd choice. Palm Beach Atlantic, in West Palm, doesn't even have football facilities. I guess they will do walkthroughs on soccer or lacrosse fields. Kaiser U is nearby and is an NAIA school. I had expected they'd be at FAU, in Boca, which has great facilities. In any event, they are a long way from South Beach distractions (70 miles or so).

We are now at 67 straight days of 90+ degree weather in WPB, 2nd longest streak in history. A new record is coming by the weekend.

RW, is there anyone that hates the Pats more than Bart Scott? Nobody comes to mind other than maybe a few posters on here but he is really bad.
Scott is certainly up there. He is beyond blatant with his hate. I've never heard him say anything remotely neutral about the team.

There is the other guy who wrote for the Detroit Free Press. Has been on ESPN but was fired?. Name escapes me.
