Law, Milloy, Troy Brown, Adam V, McGinest, Ted Johnson, Bruschi. Adam V alone was money in 3 Super Bowls and the most clutch Kicker in the game. Bruschi was the heart and soul of the Patriot Way and of the team.
Pretty much. I’m saying the first charge didn’t actually effect us. The second does actually effect the Bucs.If this was so blatantly obviously the state of affairs, then all TB12 had to do was have a simple talk with his buddy Krafty Bob and say "please give me a letter saying I'm free to quietly talk to other teams". If Krafty Bob says no, just leak that to the press.
Seems you're admitting he's guilty on two charges while being somewhat more guilty on the second.
To summarize the league's position.....
"Because no witness exists to verify Flores' claim, it would be irresponsible for the Commissioner not to accept the word of the tampering owner who vehemently denied his $100k tanking offer was anything more than good natured kidding. We accept Steven Ross' explanation and therefore ex-coach Flores' claims have no merit what-so-ever and we encourage the league's impartial arbitrator to reject Flores' unsubstantiated claims. Yes, Ross did jokingly offer $100k on multiple occasions, but he was only kidding. The man is a hoot"
Shouldn’t the player who is willingly engaging with other teams when he is under contract be punished too?
In the past, the league has not given picks to aggrieved teams, but has mandated pick swaps. IMO a reasonable penalty would be the LOLphins get the Pats' 2 and NE gets their 1.Correct me if I am wrong, but if this was tampering, shouldn't we get their 2023 1st rounder?
im sure he picked up on it... but since it wasn't Anti-Patriot .... yeah, i think its safe to say we can leave the rest unsaidLol I just had a fun thought. Ultra Scoops Investigator Seth Wickersham who wrote an entire book that was basically half about how and why the Brady-era ended contentiously didn’t pick up any of this.
About f'in time another team got blasted. Been so sick and tired of the Pats getting hit for doing NOTHING while teams like the Jets, Chiefs, Denver, etc got slaps on the wrist for doing WORSE.
Very simply…. He asked the Patriots to give him a longterm contract. They refused. He then agreed to sign a short term one and negotiated a no strings attached free agency after.dude, come on... stop.
Hard to argue that this didnt have an impact on any potential offer the Patriots could have made when you know you have a landing spot already lined up, with your agent saying "look, i think we got Sean Payton on board as well"... that upsets the scales beyond the tipping point, and creates a very difficult & decidedly unfair situation for the Patriots to be in...
And Tom did this - Over the course of the season - Multiple times. How you cannot be ****ing ripshit at him for these dealing is beyond imagination
Yeah but it's another black mark for Tommy.About f'in time another team got blasted. Been so sick and tired of the Pats getting hit for doing NOTHING while teams like the Jets, Chiefs, Denver, etc got slaps on the wrist for doing WORSE.
Owners are expressly forbidden in the CBA and their league agreement. Players are not.Shouldn’t the player who is willingly engaging with other teams when he is under contract be punished too?
