DRAFT DAY DISCUSSION Official 2022 NFL Draft Thread: Day 2

So don't bother to see what the kid can do and post 10 times about what a lousy pick he is?

Again, I'm good with venting, but I sort of see why things unfolded the way they did for you last night. Let's try and sit tight and see what happens with the next two picks. And if Mac is throwing touchdowns to this kid, who could very well be an unbelievable #3 or #4 receiver in his first year, I'm pretty sure we might end up being fairly happy. Sony Michel was overdrafted but he was productive. If Thornton can come close to that, I'm good.
Nice post...have to point out that Sony Michel was only 5 picks above his consensus slot (Harry was 2).

Leo Chenal and/or Andersen both still out there. Muma isn't that big of a loss considering.

I cannot speak positive about something I feel negative about. That’s not who I am. You run this website. If you only want people who will say positive things about the patriots, please let me know and I will bow out of here.

What happened last night is I was banned from posting on a chat for giving my opinion, which happened to be negative. I didn’t insult anyone. That’s sad . If that’s what this site is then fine
I get the questioning of this pick a bit, but at this stage of the draft and with the WR position it’s not a reach. the number of WRs drafted in the first 2 rounds of this draft tied or set a record. When he was projected as a 3-4 rounder none of those projections had only 1 QB taken in the first 2 rounds. In other words the projections didn’t have this many WRs taken this early. In terms of the player he’s not the kind of #1 WR that will get 80+ catches. But he has blinding speed and unlike a guy like Harry he does get separation. He might be the fastest player ever on the Pats. Is there some downside here? Yes, he is slender and has small hands and might have trouble against good press corners, but some of that can be fixed through training or scheme. Tons of upside here

Leo Chenal in the 3rd please.
Need a heat-seeking missile in the middle.
Chanal, Jones.. Interesting they're still there.. Guess the Draftnicks got some more wrong..

Did you admit you were wrong when you said you quit? Seems to me you just kept spewing hate.
But if you knew your statement was ridiculous why do you sound exactly the same tonight?

Why do you feel negative about the picks? Don’t use “because I think someone else thinks” but why do YOU feel negative? What knowledge and insight are you using?
Hate? Come on. Im just frustrated with the picks. Come on

What a crap draft so far
Not sure if it was because of the weak QB class weakening the allure this year or what, but feels underwhelming when looking elsewhere at various positions too.

Definitely a lot of good prospects still there at that position. But the question we don’t know yet is does BB actually consider it a need? He may like McMillan and McGrone a lot. Well, not necessarily a lot, but more than he might like his NT or CB depth, for example. We’ll see.

Do Magrone, Mcmillan and Perkins from last year just disappear? These guys were rated pretty high b4 they got hurt, Bill sucked it up...

Moss was 6'4" 194lbs at the combine. To match BMI, Thornton has to gain like 7 or 8lbs. He's nowhere near as skinny as Davonta Smith.

4.25 was a hand time. Need to add very minimum .1 to that - more like .16s on average.
I was in a book store reading car mags the summer the Patriots got Moss. All of a sudden I notice this tall guy to my right with legs like a racehorse and thick arms. Thin overall, yes, but fairly muscular. I looked at him a few times then realized it was Moss. My point is Moss was more muscular than I would have thought.

I wonder if they take Raimann at this point with Wynn possibly gone next year

He does both, the overall result is something I am beyond pleased with.
Picking on “mistakes” in a business that has “mistakes” made consistently by everyone is silly.
Name anyone better.

Look at it this way. If I have to approve of the ability of a person and they are:

Right 100% of the time when the next best is right 90% or they are right 40% of the time when the next best is right 30% what’s the difference?
The difference is in example 2 guys like you act as if the 60% wrong compare ms to others being 100% right.
Until last year her had lousy or mediocre drafts going back to 2012 and that’s compared to the rest of the league, so great coach, but mediocre at the draft.

Not sure if it was because of the weak QB class weakening the allure this year or what, but feels underwhelming when looking elsewhere at various positions too.

Seems like its missing some of the big personalities. QB or otherwise.

Going to start scanning the 5th-6th round projections for the Pats upcoming pick at 85

Leal, Raimann, Parham, Travis, Winfrey, Chenal still on the board?

Russell Wilson with a confused look on his face wondering why Seahawks didn't draft OL when he was there

Looking at more thornton film, interesting, they go to him in traffic, not just go routes, and he isn't showing a lot of skittishness about it

of course they're not called lowlights
