LOL, let's not drag this out. The guy was upset and went a little crazy. Let's try and talk him off the ledge and get him back on the couch to watch the rest of the draft
That’s what I was trying to do. Perspective is the key to understanding where you went wrong.

When the draft is over, there are going to be players who weren't drafted and no one understands why.

And that will be based on the projections of experts, who were wrong.
This is already playing out.

It is like saying, "I believe people prefer strawberry ice cream over vanilla." Then the actual sales figures come out, and vanilla crushes strawberry. Despite that, ice cream experts will say that people were wrong, that strawberry is better, when the only evidence that exists is the sales figures.

Dude buy the magazine, the bookstore isn’t your personal free library. The guy who owns it has kids and a mortgage.
Yes it is. I didn't buy a mag and neither did Moss.

Might as well keep the Two Thirds now. I smell a double dip @WR Bo Melton - Jalen Tolbert?? Pack your bags Harry.

Heads up, there are still a lot of good DEs here, with Enagbare, Leal, Cam Thomas, Uwazurike, Sanders, all still available. And we need someone there to push Wise.

Thornton sort of reminds me of Jeff Demps (remember him?). Fast kid who was an Olympian and was a running back they had high hopes for. But he lost a bunch of weight to compete in 2012 (I believe he won a metal) and came back before he put the weight back on and got hurt and was lost for the year. But he was absolutely terrific prior to going down.

If he can put some weight on, he looks like a pretty good player. Guessing they'll try and get him out in space and use his speed that way and Mac definitely throws a good ball where most guys do pretty well after the catch. I'm kind of excited, especially given the group they have right now. Doesn't have to be a star this year and can just outrun somebody's 3rd or 4th corner and make plays.
What I liked best about Demps is that he was traded (along with a few 6th and 7ths) for LeGarrett Blount. That made the signing of Demps completely worth it!

Do Magrone, Mcmillan and Perkins from last year just disappear? These guys were rated pretty high b4 they got hurt, Bill sucked it up...

I really doubt they will make any impact. JAGs especially if you are hurt and cannot play in 1st and/or 2nd year...
Look at how many LB's that could not play in 1st year of the Patriots?

Just beat me to the punch on this one.
Plus, @tom444, none of us believe the "car" magazine thing.

Would prefer to add speed at LB, but I could live with a DE, too.

LOL, I left that part out but Steve Balestrieri and I were just talking about it. Crazy how that worked out. Demps and a 7th for Blount. Not a bad deal

The draft is one piece of roster building. If you build a strong team you have a lot of competition for those draft picks.
Crappy teams draft great because everyone they draft gets on the field.

In 2014 the patriots took a shot on Dominique Easley as a high risk pick with the potential to be a force. They could because they had built the best roster in the NFL.
Easley busted and they went to 4 of the next 5 SBs and won 3.
Bad pick? If you are the Jete, sure, if you are primed to dominate the next 5 years, the risk is worth it.
And the same can be said for some of the WRs BB has drafted. Risky picks with potential high reward that didn't work out but with the best roster in the NFL were risks worth taking.

Man I'm trying to lose weight! Why did you have to use an ice cream analogy?

I'm not sure that they're not relieved that he's also comfortable in traffic. He's slightly built but doesn't seem to understand that. Of course, NFL DBs will make him pay for catches, to the extent they're still allowed to.

He looks like he's got that attitude that he's a football player... someone's got his leg, he doesnt go down he tries to tug his way out of the tackle, that sort of thing.
