You are a decent fan who has no business making judgments. My problem is mostly with Patricia. The offense is pedestrian as it its. Aside from their most talented defense team in 2015, Patricia has been mostly a conservative defensive coach (and I already know what the rebuttal to this is).
So what do you get with a pedestrian offense and a conservative coach? I'm not looking forward to it.
Judge is decent special teams coach but had no business being a HC.
Belichick knows more about offense than any coach in the NFL.All of our coaches have done their time padding plays which include noting personnel, down, distance, coverage, pre-snap movements, audibles, and results.
So, there isn’t really anything new to learn for these guys. To know defense, you need to know offense….and in Judge’s case…Belichick and John Harbaugh were Special Teams coaches prior to being Head Coaches. Football is still football.
The only area I’d be worried about is the play calling…which is really a lot like playing poker…making a million decisions on the fly depending on circumstances. Our coaches will be prepared and know all the plays, coverages, etc…but they may struggle with calling the right play at the right time.
I would be interested to see whether they will allow Mac to veto some calls and change them pre-snap AND remember the Pats Coaches are all listening in to every thing over the headsets…so Belichick can override any play calls.
The buck stops with Belichick.
What ?
OkWhy Bill Belichick Apparently Hands Out 'Green Balls' To Patriots Coaches
According to Seth Wickersham's new book, New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick gives out 'green balls' to underpaid coaches.nesn.com
Do you?You are a decent fan who has no business making judgments.
Make judgments that professionals with a tremendous track record of success are imcompetant? Nah, I don’t.Do you?
This gave me a good laugh. Maybe we need a little explanation on what you mean on this because a fan wanting their team to lose is an oxymoron. There is always a certain percentage of people here that hope / pray for failure.
Cool, just making sure.Make judgments that professionals with a tremendous track record of success are imcompetant? Nah, I don’t.
You said fan…not I. I’m only referring to those that constantly complain about the Patriots past failures and future ones lol. This gave me a good laugh. Maybe we need a little explanation on what you mean on this because a fan wanting their team to lose is an oxymoron.
Wow, I completely misread that. Yes, I like the posters that want to see failure to prove a point. That gives me a good laugh. You said fan…not I. I’m only referring to those that constantly complain about the Patriots past failures and future ones lol.
Fecking Fat Matt calling plays??!! Are we going to be wishing that Skippy was still here?? Ugh!
They never said he wouldn't be calling plays....Could you show anywhere where it says that Patricia will be calling plays? I've yet to see ANYTHING remotely close to that. I've seen it said that Matt will be helping with the Offensive Line.
Ya Jones has been consistently the same thing for all 3 years. They went and got him Golladay and, Golladay only had 500 yards. When Toney had his monster game of 190 yards, most of that was Glennon, not Jones Agholor had 500 yards and he was like the 4th option after Meyers, Bourne and Henry. Golladay getting 18m per year, Agholor is 11m per.Jones was screwed up long before Judge got there. Blaming Judge was farking laughable.
Yeah, was talking about 40 years ago when he worked for the Colts/Lions/Broncos before getting to the Giants.I think I know what you meant, but Bill was a defensive coordinator before he got the HC in NE. He was certainly a popular guy in 1999 after he derailed Drew Bledsoe and the Pats on MNF and slowed down the Colts offense twice.
While Harbaugh was a known and respected special teams coordinator, he was still a bizarre choice for HC as I believe that was unprecedented.
