Florio: In my fantasy, Brady blackmails the Bucs by threatening to expose them for tampering (part of another fantasy narrative I came up with last year) in order to leverage his way to the 49ers (hopefully you read my latest fantasy about that.)

49rs are a SB contender without a proven QB. If they bring in Gronk and make a run for Brady, how can he refuse his dream of playing for 49rs being offered on a silver platter?

If they outbid the Bills, Buccaneers, others to obtain Gronk, it tells me that they want Brady badly. Obtaining Gronk is laying the groundwork to make a run for Brady.

Gronk will probably cost 10 million at least.

I don't know why it takes a clown like Florio writing click bait articles for anyone to figure out that Brady's commitment to the Bucs is over. It's been reported quite a few times that he promised them 2 years and his contract is simply cap relief. I don't know why Arians continues to talk because I would bet a large sum that the bucs would let him walk for free should he request it. Tom should just enjoy retirement but seems he's going to keep clowning the media with this thing. Maybe he never intended to retire to begin with and the media just annoyed him? Anyways if he wants to play he should but I was liking the idea of not following the NFL too closely.

Titans need another weapon to get over the hump.
Bengals for a good chance to win a championship.
Chargers to be close to Hollywood.
49rs to convince Brady to unretire.

I can't see it happening exactly because Tua sucks and they are not a SB contender like the other teams.

Also Gronk needs to go to a team that has several top targets. I don't know if Miami has that. Gronk has struggled when he has been asked to do too much but has had elite stats as the 3rd or 4th option.

So Deus, serious question here: what thread do we need to create going forward for all of us Brady followers? 2022 Tom Brady Fans Thread? I think we should keep the Tampa thread for now because his retirement is still somewhat murky, but what happens if he's actually retired? I'd like to have a dedicated thread with all the regulars from this thread.

Edit: One option might be to simply re-title this thread.

Will he be able to play even half a season next year? If he won't sign now or before the deadline to sign his tender you would have to imagine he won't sign next year either. They must keep their big hitting safety and a few other guys to even be competitive. That defense won't be doing the team any favors this year if they couldn't last year with better players.

We should simply have an OT: The Tom Brady Thread on main forum.

It's clearly still one of the most popular conversations on here and it's silly we have to go to a sub-forum to talk about the greatest player in franchise/NFL history in secrecy. In reality, Brady will always be inherently on-topic on a Patriots fan forum.

Seeing an active Tom Brady thread instead of the same 2-3 threads that have been on top of main forum for last months just makes sense.
