OT: Official 2021 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

Jimmy Stewart on Felger and Mazz has been right about everything Brady for 2 years now and he’s saying Beady is going to do absolutely everything to get to Miami and Rodgers is a part of the plan of how this happens because both the Bucs and Dolphins want Rodgers if they can’t have Brady.

Doubt him at your peril.

Why does Brady want Miami? Is there an ownership stake? I don’t see the on-field fit there anymore…two years of stalling will do that to what was a loaded roster.

I mean I listen every day as background listening and yeah they’re clowns but they’re entertaining and it’s sports not life and death so who cares.

He hasn't been right about everything Brady in the past 2 years. I believe we talked about one of his false reports in a thread around here (it might even been this one).

Well I was being hyperbolic but on Brady, somehow, he’s been far more right than both teams and national beat guys. It’s eerie. He also has an in with the Celtics. Dude is the producer of a damn sports radio show but somehow legitimately seems to have ins with important people in high places. He also has direct lines into WWE he personally knows many pro wrestlers. Weird guy.

I still have a soft spot for the Bucs and while I won't care very much where they are in the standings I'll probably still casually follow them even without Brady. This is one big reason why I like them.

Doing that to the freaking Raiders was awesome. Two pick sixes in the last 80 seconds. I still love watching it. LOL

That just prove that there was a rift between them. I can’t see Licht saying GFY to Brady if he wants to play for another team. BA is a moron.
He's a bit of a blowhard but if I were in his shoes I'd feel the same way. I'm hanging on to dear life to Brady if he wants to come back.

I just thought it was funny that Arians is running his mouth like he has any say at all into what the Bucs organization does and any decisions they make. He thinks he's Belichick. LOL

Exactly that. Arians needs to be the center of attention. My guess is couldn’t bare playing second fiddle to Brady for 2 years. In my opinion, if Brady wants to play somewhere else there is absolutely 0 chance that the Bucs will play hard ball with him.

It just doesn’t make sense to me why Bucs would side with Arians over Brady. This isn’t Tony Dungy who was instrumental in transforming that absolute joke of a team into a contender. This isn’t old Don Shula who sucked a.ss for a decade but the Dolphins were loyal to him for life. He’s been there all of 3 years. And the one year without Brady he went 7-9. He’s also freaking 70 years old. Boot his ass Bucs fans don’t give a crap about him!

Right. And that tweet where he complains that Brady was getting all the credit said a lot.

Brady's defenses carried him to SB 36, 38, 39, and 53. So just stop with this "Brady did everything by himself without a defense and head coach" crap. If only Montana had Walsh as his HC for 20 years...

And why do you get so annoyed when another player does something better than Tommy? It's not Joe's fault that he has a higher quarterback rating in the super bowl as well as in playoff games overall. For some reason it seems to bother you, which is why you started this debate in this thread.

And can you name me an iconic throw by Brady in the super bowl along the lines of Montana to Clark, Montana to Rice, Montana to Taylor, Manning to Tyree, or Manning to Manningham?
Did you even watch SB38?

Because the Panthers scored 29 points, and had 387 yards.

29 points in the 4th most points scored by a SB loser.

I think Arian's is simply spewing out quotes but those saying he should want compensation should Brady want to go elsewhere need to also take into account that the remaining years on Brady's deal are not real. They are salary cap adjustment years. If that is the case they need to let him walk should he ask. If he promised them to play 3 years and then retired then I can understand trying to get max compensation for a trade. He is technically signed but I don't think the GM considered him 'under contract'. He would sign a new deal this offseason should he continue with the bucs.

I wasn't talking about the super bowls themselves, but the super bowl winning seasons...the defense was the primary strength of those teams.

And their QB was Jake Delhomme one of the worst SB quarterbacks of all time.
59% comp 3219 yards 19 TD 16 INT, 80 rating. And this guy lit up the Patriots defense in the 4th quarter. Brady bailed them out.

He is a troll.

But a much better Stat would be conference championship games.

How is Montanta in all conferences games?

The AFC was weak in the 80s and 90s, From 1982 to 1997 all superbowls were won by an NFC team. And during that time frame only 3 games were close. All other wins were NFC blowouts against AFC inferior teams.
Most of those SBs were won by NFC teams, mostly Dallas and SF, that cheated.
