Christian Barmore the most double-teamed DT in the NFL?

I’m holding out hope we may be able to pair up Trey Flowers with Barmore one day soon. Some players find their way back to the Pats and he is man of many pressures in this defense. He was 2nd in the nation in his college days and Barmore was 1st out of the dt position. Starting to think this is one of the most useful armchair stats when evaluating college talent for the “can he rush the passer” crowds.

It's very impressive Barmore commands so many double teams even if it limits his actual stats. Frees up Judon and other teammates to beat their 1 on 1's

Looking like a really good draft so far. Jones, Barmore, and Stevenson all look like steals. Belichick is getting a lot of key pieces in place for a strong future,

Kudos to Eliot Wolf and Groh. A welcome change since 2013

Who was it before them?

Also, I freaking love Barmore. I get so excited about interior defensive lineman that can actually get pressure up the middle (e.g., Geno Atkins, Aaron Donald, Kawann Short, etc.). I really wish Easley had worked out, but oh well.

Also, Atkins and Short are both free agents. Are they really that bad now (or too old) that no one wants them?

Two of my wife's Irish uncles became priests and together performed every one of hers & her Nine brothers' & sisters' wedding Masses... Whenever they began to speak in unison during the ceremony I would always recall that line from The Exorcist...

He absolutely wrecked Atlanta last night. If Parsons is playing better than Barmore, he must be a monster

He is already the top IDL on the Patriots as a rookie. I think he could be in that Chris Jones/Jeffrey Simmons category of game wrecker.

Before Eliot Wolf and Groh got extremely involved (per Kraft himself saying something had to change/be-fixed in drafts), it was Caserio who was totally checked out once he was blocked from going the first time to Houston, and from 2013-2019 it was 3 college roommates from john carroll helping to run the crappiest drafts BB has had (caserio, ziegler, mcD).

no surprise real players got drafted as soon as he was gone.

To be fair I always saw Caserio as just an execution guy, he just makes the phone calls and coordinates and keeps things going. He's neither positive nor negative. He was here during the great 2009-2012 draft periods (look up those awesome draft classes) but that period was with Floyd Reese and O'Brien giving football opinions and again Caserio being a neutral execution-guy. From 2013 onward it was just crappy input from guys who thought Tim Tebow was a 1st rounder, thought NKeal / Michel / Wynn were 1st round picks, and the same guys who thought Adam Gase was a good coach and wanted to bring this dumb-ass to New England.

that the draft strategy got changed and BB is now actually listening to the scouts advice can't be a coincidence.

I just wish this would be happening sooner. Imagine if we had 2 real impact players instead of drafting Harry and Sony. ****, in 2019 we could have had AJ Brown and Metcalf in the same draft and could have traded down even.

Agree 150%. What a WASTE with NKeal, Wynn, Michel when you look at who they could have gotten. There's like 20 WRs better than Harry from that draft class.

Strongly believe all the crappy drafting led to Brady leaving for a better situation.

Barmore was the steal of the draft. For all the complaints I had about BB the GM, he really nailed this draft. He got the second bet QB without having to move up. Jones looks like he will be the pats QB for the future. Now he just needs to prove that he has "it".

Barmore has been a beast! He is everything we saw in that national championship game. BTW, the two 4th rd picks that BB sent to Cincy to move up and grab him have played a combined 1 game so far.

Now BB the GM, needs to stick with this years draft strategy, DRAFT GUYS FROM ALABAMA!! At the very least only draft from the SEC. Move up to get the guys you want, stay away from any 2nd rd DBs.
Dugger says "Hello"

While I get your point, Sony was technically an impact player. He was very productive in 2018 with the opportunity he was given.

But back to your point, you can make a strong correlation of their failed drafts and the their eventual playoff loses.

People still slandering this dude. Has been an absolute beast for a guy that people were trying to make out to be Dominque Easley 2.0

And he’s only going to get better!
