Quote the Patriots' Play: STFU negative nancies

I'm 100% in on Mac.
I can do that because I'm just a fan.
I think they absolutely got the best QB available (Laurence may be better, but Mac's a better fit).
You can see how the other players respect his toughness.

QB is 90% between the ears. Brady has already proven that.
Mac is a winner and driven to improve. He will improve his arm strength, just like Brady

Before' QB's had to be 6'4 minimum. Wilson broke that mold.
Now they have to be dual-threat.
Teams are looking for the next Mahomes. They should be looking for the next Brady.
I'm quoting myself here because I'm too lazy to go back and quote the "Fire Belichick" crowd.
You want to be a Brady fan boy, I'm cool with that, but saying Belichick won't survive another losing season is agenda-driven, turncoat, ungrateful, hore$hit..

Belichick is exceptional at building contenders.
No other coach/GM has come close to that in the salary cap Era.

You can already check the box for "replace franchise QB".

What are all you "fire BB" jerkoffs gonna say when this team is contending again...possibly later this season..."I knew it all along"?
Ungrateful/spoiled tossers.
Only took one losing season to see you all turn on him.

I will say.. its bound to happen one day.

Why not now?
A lot has to come together for a rookie qb to be successful in their first year. Historically, they have to play on a team that had a lot of the pieces already in place, who either had one down year or were already pretty decent (> .500 record). I think all those pieces are in place for Mac. Below are all the rookie QB's that took their team to the playoffs since 2000:

Lamar Jackson - Ravens (already decent with a 9-7 record)
Dak Prescott - Cowboys (down year, won division year prior)
Andrew Luck - Colts (down year, won division year prior)
Russell Wilson - Seahawks (down year, won division year prior)
Andy Dalton - Bengals (down year, won division year prior)
Mark Sanchez - Jets (already decent with a 9-7 record)
Joe Flacco - Ravens (down year, won division year prior)
Ben Roethlisberger - Steelers (down year, won division year prior)

There have been only 2 successful rookie qb's who completely sparked a turn-around for their teams
Matt Ryan - Falcons
RG3 - WFT

Below is a pretty good article from Bleacher report on this subject:

Somewhere, somehow some minor league pundit will start some crap about how BB is cheating or some other nonsense. Stay tuned it is a wild, albeit predictable script..
From the Browns board:
F the Patriots. F belijerk. F tug job Kraft. F the NFL. If it seems like the Patriots are in your huddle, guess what, they probably are. They have been proven to be cheaters and the NFL has been proven to cover it up time and time again. As soon as they showed the admiral and general I just knew something bad was going to happen. It was the perfect time in the “production” for a big play, not another methodical drive. Sure enough, two Patriots defenders run the route better than our own receiver. They knew what was coming. Eventually the Browns knew the Pats knew what was coming and just said F it.

Oh, and what class shown by cbs, the Patriots cheerleaders announcing the game, and Patriots players. All were much more concerned with their run-up td celebration while Hill was being attended to and carted off the field with a neck injury. I’ve never seen such a thing in any sporting event when there is a serious injury. Complete classless bs just to promote the cheaters as they cheat their way to blowout.
Lol. I should note, most of their fans over there are not spewing this kind of ridiculousness, just mostly depressed.

I find this very interesting being new to this board and being a new Patriots fan. I say this in the kindest of way, you are all entitled fans, but I can totally related to you being an Alabama fan, we are entitled too!

The Patriot fans are used to winning, use to winning it all, that is awesome! Take most other teams in the NFL, they like to win and would LOVE to win it all. Patriot fans expect to win it all. Bravo!
The same is true with Bama fans, we are use to winning and expect to win the National Championship. When we don't win it all, we are disappointed. Bravo!

I would so much rather be a fan base that expects to win it all, than to be a fan base where I came from, the Falcons, where we expect to lose all the time. Yea, we all can be negative at times because we expect so much, but I bet at the end of the day, no matter if the Pats win the SB or not, we will all still be fans just like if Bama doesn't win the NCG I will always be a Bama fan!

We are definitely entitled, sort of like your typical billionaire. Expectations of only the good life.

But speaking for those of us who have been fans for a long time, we are like trailer trash who won the Powerball Jackpot. We are now entitled and spoiled, but we still bear the scars of life on food stamps. We remember and do not want to go back to that life!

My son was born 3 years before Brady came to town. HE is an entitled, spoiled shyt!

I never got the whole, "I told you so" crowd. Just root for the team. Who the hell cares who was right or wrong with their predictions. It's childish. We all want the patriots to win. That is all that matters.

That reminded me of this all-time classic years ago in the PFT comments after the Pats beat the Broncos at home. Probably a troll and not really a Broncos fan but this was just lol anyway.

The Giants won two Super Bowls with Eli Manning playing well, but not having to carry the team in the playoffs. I think Pats can win a Super Bowl (assuming what we saw Sunday is who they are) without Jones carrying the team in any of the playoff games. There is a chance that the Pats get into a shoot out and Jones will have to score three or four TDs and throw for more than 300 yards. But it isn't a definite.
Eli reached an extra gear in those POs.
But yeah, I agree with you in general actually, my problem with this team is depth, which is usually a good sign for a team

If anyone in the secondary is hurt, especially JC , we are ****ed. Tbh Im not even sure if what we have can stop the trully elite passing teams. Thats proble numero Uno by far

Then, lack of depth overall... TEs, WRs, Lbs, we are kinda thin of capable guys, but we have been healthy this season so far, but its ~luck

We'll see. Next year, ill complain if we DONT win

I'd also feel better about our RB depth when Harris is back.

Fortunately Mac is

Mac is already carrying the team; no way we reel off multiple 90+ yards drives without elite QB play. And if any rookie QB has ever been ready for playoff / Super Bowl pressure, it's Mac given his National Championship pedigree. Assuming he continues to improve, the sky is the limit this year given the team he's on and the coaching he's getting. Improbable yes, but no longer an impossible dream.
Ill give you this

If BB had not KICKED THE ****ING FIELD GOAL

FROM 56 YARDS

IN THE RAIN

and had gone for a 1yard 4th down try

I wouldve not written my OP*.

*maybe

Hold on a sec.

I think we have 2 fan bases.

One demographic is absolutely entitled. Anything less than a Super Bowl win and 100% perfection in every facet of every ****ing thing with this team those fans act like their welfare checks were taken away.

The other fan base - because they have been through hard times appreciate what this team has accomplished the last 20 years. We certainly, when warranted can be/should be critical and angry but are much more understanding and accepting of the team's occasional missteps.

I get it, I was at Bama during the late 80's we were not good at all!

Saban has been at Bama since 2007, when my kids were 8 & 6. So basically they know nothing but winning. I on the other hand remember the years of Mike Shula, Coach Fran, Dubose when just getting 6 wins and going to a bowl game was a big deal.

I have also been a Falcons fan since birth, so I know all about losing over, and over, and over again. That's why I am so happy to be a fan of a team that knows how to win and will do what it takes to win. I am a very happy Patriots fan!!

Being in my late 20s, I've only known the good years. I would say I'm entitled, but not spoiled. All I or anyone else has to do is take a look at some of the complete dumpster fires around the league to know that things can always be worse, and to be grateful for what BB and TB did for 2 decades, and what BB is continuing to do. I'm entitled in that I believe that BB, this staff, and this team can contend for superbowl and I'll likely continue to feel that way until BB retires. Then I might have to reevaluate lol.

If Tom wins in Tampa Bay year one, and Bill wins with a rookie QB year two, it would be an ultimate mic drop.

But, though I’ve been vocal about the whole thing and am firmly QB>coach, I’ll reiterate that Bill doesn’t need to win a championship to stick his chest out. It would be awesome, but building another contender, and finding another QB to run the offense well…these are things I’m looking at.

Brady didn’t prove himself by winning the Super Bowl, either. He proved himself by flourishing in a totally different environment and showing he was never the product of anything.

I've seen your posts here and you are not entitled- but rather conditioned to expect excellence and victory. I am the same way.

I expect my wi-fi to work. I expect my heat to turn on. I expect my lawn guy to come every Thursday.

When those things don't happen I get annoyed and start asking questions but I also have the perspective that **** just happens and nothing is perfect.

Those things- like a NEP Super Bowl or hitting on a 5th rd pick every year are not god-given rights.

They are simply part of life which nothing is perfect and nothing is owed to us.

Just because the Patriots are winning doesn’t mean the criticism about the 4th down risk/reward wasn’t valid. It was well documented outside NE too.

It would be like saying, “hey, Brady needs to stop throwing these interceptions” and then Brady starts playing great, and then people ask you to walk back your comment. It makes no sense.

Bill had some very questionable coaching earlier this year. Dolphins, Saints, Texans, were all games where the team was outfoxed and sloppy, and then the conservative down/distance calls.

But criticism about the roster/potential and long-term outlook...sure, that’s starting to look like egg on face for some of us.

Wait you have a lawn guy?

Damn, can I get you some Grey Poupon?

That is unfortunately not true. Everyone says that, but it is obvious that many in the Brady Bunch are not happy with Belichick being rehabilitated so quickly.

Not sure I buy that and I had a feeling someone would say this. There are alot of brady lovers here *as there should be* that respect/love brady more than belichick and wants brady to succeed. I don't think there are many if any here that want the pats to fail though. There might be some here that will call it a silver lining if they do fail so they can get to say, "I told ya so" similar to this post however.
