Football Outsiders forecast now has us with an 88.1% chance of making the playoffs.

And this:

Giddy. Imagine if Mac wins a Super Bowl his first year. Return of the Jedi. And if he beats Tompa, I will Ascend... after force feeding lots and lots of crow sh*t.

I would say it’s more like The Empire Strikes Back.

I'm the first one leading the "we're gonna win out and win the SB" train but like...maybe we should relax a bit the teams 6-4 not 9-1 lol

Feels like the crow is coming out a little too early to serve
I agree. They are trending in the right direction, big time. We will really know what's up on 12/26 at about 4:30pm.

Eh. Haven't clinched anything yet except finishing the season with minimum 6 wins. Yay?

Things are looking up but we'll find out how ready they really are for prime time after the Titans-Bills-Colts-Bills stretch coming up.

For a guy who can't draft or doing anything right, this Belichick guy sure lands on his feet pretty regularly.
He must be cheating. It’s the only possible explanation right?

[/sarcasm]

I think we are trending in the right direction and playoff bound, but I don't see this unit winning a sb under a rookie qb.

Has it ever happened?

Nope. No rookie QB has ever won a conference championship game either.

I think Big Ben got the closest in 2004.

Belichick doesn't have a winning record without Brady or Mac.
I bet Belichick has a better winning percentage with Cassel + Jimmy together than he ever did with Tom.
Just sayin. LOL

I love the sentiment going around, but realistically, the only way we win it all is if Mac Jones has trully one of a kind rookie season

He has been very good. Great even. But he hasnt won games by himself, which has good chance of needing to happen in the Playoffs, if not earlier.

I dont think Ive guessed our record this year. I think we are going at 11-6

I don't care about people being negative. What I cannot stand is people with agendas trashing the team to fit their agenda. I am glad Sunday's win has shut up the pro-Brady/anti-Belichick crowd. Many of those people were practically wishing for this team to fail and Mac Jones to be a bust because they want to "prove" that Belichick is a mediocre coach who just got lucky to get Brady. Those people have no business pretending to be Pats' fans.

I am glad that this four game winning streak and a near perfect game on Sunday has sent those people scattering to the Tom Brady forum and/or elsewhere.

The Giants won two Super Bowls with Eli Manning playing well, but not having to carry the team in the playoffs. I think Pats can win a Super Bowl (assuming what we saw Sunday is who they are) without Jones carrying the team in any of the playoff games. There is a chance that the Pats get into a shoot out and Jones will have to score three or four TDs and throw for more than 300 yards. But it isn't a definite.

A lot of them are still here and hoping no one looks at their post history.

LOL! I tune most of them out now, but I the ones who are the most egregious at it seem to be missing this week thus far.

I find this very interesting being new to this board and being a new Patriots fan. I say this in the kindest of way, you are all entitled fans, but I can totally related to you being an Alabama fan, we are entitled too!

The Patriot fans are used to winning, use to winning it all, that is awesome! Take most other teams in the NFL, they like to win and would LOVE to win it all. Patriot fans expect to win it all. Bravo!
The same is true with Bama fans, we are use to winning and expect to win the National Championship. When we don't win it all, we are disappointed. Bravo!

I would so much rather be a fan base that expects to win it all, than to be a fan base where I came from, the Falcons, where we expect to lose all the time. Yea, we all can be negative at times because we expect so much, but I bet at the end of the day, no matter if the Pats win the SB or not, we will all still be fans just like if Bama doesn't win the NCG I will always be a Bama fan!

Fortunately Mac is

Mac is already carrying the team; no way we reel off multiple 90+ yards drives without elite QB play. And if any rookie QB has ever been ready for playoff / Super Bowl pressure, it's Mac given his National Championship pedigree. Assuming he continues to improve, the sky is the limit this year given the team he's on and the coaching he's getting. Improbable yes, but no longer an impossible dream.
